  1. I have a samsung 19' wide screen right now.. I would like to get another and run dual.
  2. I have been wanting a new system for quite some time.. Right now, as most of you know, I have an Inspiron 8600 laptop.. But I have been craving a desktop for quite sometime..   5. it is 169.xxx.xxx.xxx? I would really try and power cycle the router.. that is a router issue not an internet issue. You should be able to receive an IP address whether or not you have internet.

  10. It is the difference between what the manufacturer defines as a mb and what windows defines as a mb.. The manufactures say that 1 kb is 1000bytes. However, windows defines 1 kb as 1024bytes. So there is a small difference here.. but the bigger the drive size the more you "loose" to the math. http://www.wired.com/news/business/0,1367,60505,00.html

    Port Questions

    there are a few options.. either A) your are behind a router with the remote access turned on. there is a program running that requires port 80 such as a game server. I guess that is only two options Post a copy of your port scan..

  19. What is a domain name... A name like yahoo.com. It is a representation of an IP address that is easier for us humans to remember. Can you get one with broadband? Yes, check out dyndns.org or no-ip.com. If you are using a router it will support one of these services.
  20. the minimum specs is a processor that supports SSE2.. but yeah you might get it up and running.. but it is a pirated version.. <- not good.
  21. You can boot OSx on x86 intel platforms.. When tiger was release there was a huge hacker fest to see who could boot it first... Look around the net there a many installation guides.. but unfortunately you have an AMD system... there is NO way to boot OS X on an AMD system.
