1. but you still got awful results. tips: set the TCP Opti slider at 3000kbps, use the MTU of 1492 for the server 1500 for the workstations, then click "Optimal Setting". uninstall cfosspeed.
2. it happens to me until now. i just didn't mind it. even if they will be able to browse my portal page, they don't get anything from my account except that they will know i'm a prompt payer. aside from that, nothing else. related fyi: recently, someone told me how to access the portal for smartbro installers. shhhhh
3. already requested for the addition of Smart 3G Network in the "Add A Provider" section. got these results using a Nokia 6300 cellphone using Opera Mini 4.1 Beta. Fast connection i can say, really 3G.
4. are you saying that what you posted is some kinda humor? take a look one more time. you seemed serious weren't you. LOL
5. @velarde_matthy what setting do you use with your tcp opti? is your modem firewall enabled? are you using windows firewall also? what are your anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall programs?
6. no im not taking it seriously. it's just that i wanted to share my side of the story. anyways, we're grown ups already and able to understand what is right from wrong. the next time we will just be careful of the words we post to avoid confusions due to speaking on behalf of other people without their knowledge and permission. at this juncture, please allow me to let this issue rest. peace. thanks.
7. this is what i was thinking about. the one rafterm2000 is referring to is ianonline took the liberty of speaking in our behalf without verifying nor confirming from us the real score. i do not know any organized technical team composed of those whose names were earlier mentioned and i am not a member of any technical team at this time. that is for sure.
8. holy cow! see the images on what happened when i logged in to the old portal. :tickedoff:
9. this is just my guess, you have discovered the secret to unlock the portal w/c the installers go to whenever there is a new subscriber. there they can view what password to use when opening the account of that new subscriber. i have tested the old portal but was never redirected to the link you posted. i hope this is only an isolated case.
10. @ carts. so what really happened when you entered your reference number and account number on that site? as far as i know, the legitimate site is https://portal.smartbro.net remember that its the www and there are lots of sites pretending to be legit ones.
11. if the problem persist i think there is no other option. what is your OS btw?
12. there should be. i understand motherboards usually have 4-6 usb ports. try to plug your usb mouse into a port other than the one you got a problem with and observe what happens.
13. How to Remove password_viewer.exe Virus The "password_viewer.exe" virus executes during startup and cannot be easily disabled from the task manager. It shuts down your computer thru a batch file named "pc-off.bat". Surprisingly, this virus cannot be removed by known anti-malware programs but can be easily removed if done carefully on a manual way. Here's how: 1. Turn off 'System Restore'. Right click 'My Computer', click 'Properties', click the 'System Restore' tab, mark/check "Turn off System Restore on all drives", click Ok. 2. Restart computer in "Safe Mode" (press F2 or equivalent before the Windows bootup screen appears). 3. Now go to 'My Computer'. At the Menu bar click 'Tools', click 'Folder Options', click the 'View' tab. Scroll down and mark "Show hidden files and folders", uncheck both "Hide extensions for known file types" and "Hide protected operating system files", if a prompt appears click 'Yes', and then click 'Apply' and 'Ok' to close. 4. Open your system drive (usually drive C:), open 'Windows', scroll down, look for and delete the following files: password_viewer.exe pc-off.bat - if a prompt appears each instance, click "Delete All". 5. Click the 'Back' button then go back to 'Tools', click 'Folder Options', click the 'View' tab. Scroll down and mark "Do not show hidden files and folders", check both "Hide extensions for known file types" and "Hide protected operating system files" and then click 'Apply' and 'Ok' to close. 6. Restart your computer to normal mode and turn on System Restore back by right clicking 'My Computer', click 'Properties', click the 'System Restore' tab, unmark/uncheck "Turn off System Restore on all drives", click ok. You can check if the virus is still there by opening the Task Manager/Processes then look for password_viewer.exe. If its not there, you just had a successful virus removal. To test to make sure your computer doesn't shutdown when executing the Command Prompt, go to Start/Run and type cmd. Good luck!
14. have you read about Dual Wan?
15. procedure: Start/Control Panel/Network Connections/Lan Connection; right click to Properties; highlight Internet Protocol/Properties; click "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server automatically", click ok, another click ok to exit.
16. welcome to testmy.net @ Ryutaro. i kinda like your style of posting, the jolly type despite your connection problem. however, TMN rules dictate that we must POST IN ENGLISH ONLY, or at least provide a translation, you have edited it so no worry. anyways, i understand you have two computers running and connected to smartbro. the desktop serves as the server of the laptop, isn't it? smartbro recognizes the lan card in your laptop (the 1st you installed) that's why you cannot access the portal or access the canopy sm. try to detach your laptop and then configure your lan connection setting it to obtain IP address and dns automatically. i suggest you use a switch or hub to connect both pc's simultaneously without sacrificing your access to the portal and canopy sm.
17. right click My Computer/Properties/System Restore check "Turn off System Restore on all drives" click Apply then Ok.
18. Also, download and install Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2. Then, click "Scan" and look for code 04 - HKLM.. Run: [pcoff.bat] C:windows or something like that. then mark the corresponding box then click "Fix checked". Be very extra careful not to put a mark on other boxes. hope it will help
19. turn off system restore before removing the malware using AVG anti spyware
20. welcome to testmy.net @ infectedbyvirus here's a couple of threads to help you. http://www.testmy.net/t-20597 http://www.testmy.net/t-18617
