  1. @ozzyozoz, welcome to tmn. we can help you here. please provide us full screenshots of your task manager and canopy page.
  2. @MegamanNova. welcome to tmn. nice name you got there btw. you don't have to change your lan properties since you are able to access your canopy config page. set your Quality of Service (QoS) in the canopy to 600 for download and 400 for upload or 800/200 respectively; 1500 each for downlink and uplink burst allocations.
  3. thank you. all credits to becman the image/graphics master.
  4. you're welcome. please come back here more often for speed tests and queries.
  5. @ sheldonjohnc. welcome to testmy.net altho it is intended for smartbro, i am pleased you were able to successfully do the 20 steps on a bayantel connection to meet their advertised speed. as you posted, you tested with speedtest, server of which is sponsored by your ISP here in the Phil. by that alone, i can say that test results on that website will be shown, of course, to their advantage. not just being a member of but because i trust this site for accuracy, i can say that TMN is the most reliable. on your 2nd post, i suggest you try to use an MTU of 1300 which is suited for wireless connections.
  6. my apologies. im not a Vista user myself and the 20 steps has been tested on XP only. however, you may try this which has been of great help to vista users. http://www.tweakvista.com/
  7. it is very easy to know how many pc's are connected in your AP without violating other people's privacy. just access your Canopy configuration page and look for "Usercount".
  8. @ ZaZi. congratulations on an improved speed. @ ianonline don't you trust tmn test results? this one didn't have leakage. if you know what i mean...
  9. if I may butt-in, how could EF do your request if you don't give him the prizm license? just asking. (whispering...hey give me one too so i can do my own)
  10. @ kisses_1505 welcome to testmy.net. nice speeds. what did you do to achieve that? @ ZaZi what firewall & AV settings did you configure? may we know?
  11. remember the procedures 8.) Go back to http://www.j79zlr.com/cablenutXP2k.php 9.)Click TCP/IP Analyzer 10.) Know your TCP Receive Window (RWIN) values, write down the values for "scale factor of 8" and "scale factor of 4". jot the values down, did you? 15.) Open the CableNut setting you saved on your desktop. 16.) In the "DefaultReceiveWindow" box, change the current value to the value you wrote for "scale factor of 8" 17.) In the "DefaultSendWindow" box, change the current value to the value you wrote for "scale factor of 4". good luck and may you read very very carefully the steps so you will not be lost.
  12. btw the way, has anyone experienced this? http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=2lu4cd2&s=3 the test resets when doing a 12Mbps speed test. is this a bug?
  13. this part should be strictly followed so it will not cause any problem: "you must be logged in as root and set your tcp/ip properties to 169.254.3.3 and 255.255.0.0"
  14. its possible. get to know dual wan, here's the thread http://www.testmy.net/t-18839
  15. reserve one for me too. we can talk about the price.
  16. if you have 2 canopies, why don't you go for dual wan?
  17. for a faster pc it should be less than 8 mins. if the installation softwares are compatible and files are not corrupted, and no other program is running, the installation should go on smoothly.
  18. are you bringing the same pc with you upon transferring elsewhere? coz if not, its really normal that the portal will detect a new lancard. then you will have to save the new setting for smartbro to be able to acknowledge your account.
  19. what the?!? good thing you can edit that... :knuppel2: will yah???
