Actually, some things have changed now. "Noob" isn't just a shorthand for "Newbie" anymore, it's now more like an insult. Saying someone is a newbie is fine, calling them noobs isn't.

I've only used one distro so i can't say much(Ubuntu Feisty Fawn). still, it works pretty well and newbie friendly. I didn't have a problem with it when i was dual booting it with windows.

Hmm... I don't know. It really looks like a bug in the way SmartBro is implementing their service. I believe you all remember how they installed your connection. Those 101 numbers are our service reference numbers. They are used to log in accounts that doesn't have account username and password yet.
I suggest someone who has a connection to Smart's personnel tell them that there is a flaw on their service.

i believe it will be ok, since changing the IP and subnet mask was needed just to access the canopy, nothing more. since you can access your canopy with no problem,it won't be necessary to change those values.
