  1. picture quality and response time? probably desk space? definitely not.... one of the main reasons I have dual 19" CRTs instead of LCDs is because I have the space for them...
  2. A bit expensive IMO... but yes, quite nice..
  3. I prefer flat panel CRTs personally... I can pick up jerkiness even on a fast LCD display... but I digress... DVI isn't always digital... there's digital and analog DVI... (at least I think that's how it goes)
  4. when you have both monitors hooked up, do both of them display the desktop?
  5. I have used it before, but that was months ago... maybe DWay changed something since then
  6. 29.01GB in Music 98.7GB in Movies 3.5GB in Pictures 4.31GB in Downloaded Programs (btw... probably 99% of my collection (not confection ) is legal...) I would like to know what kind of bakery good you have that's bigger...

  9. to some extent a larger drive takes longer, but if your drive is fragmented badly, it will take a while... I would suggest running it overnight
  10. What i did for my HTPC is got ahold of an old Dell Optiplex 260... it's got decent specs, especially for just using it as a HTPC, it's fairly small, and it's really quiet (you can only hear the fan if you stick your ear to the back of the case. Added in a remote control, wireless keyboard and mouse, and I was all set... specs... Windows XP Media Center 2005 2GHz P4 256MB RAM (small, but it still gets the job done with some tweaking...) 20GB hard drive (although I have another computer set up as a file server...)
  11. that cpu would have to get extremely hot... I suspect the computer would shut down before then...
  12. After tweaking my dish for a bit, I'm at signal strength of 77 and XPOL of 71, up from 69 and 63... speed still sucks though
  13. Personally, I rip all our new DVDs onto my computer and delete the image files after I've watched them a few times... this way I can watch them whenever, and I don't need to hunt the discs down all the time. Plus I can watch them on my HTPC (silently)...
  14. right now I've got 6 tabs open and it's running at about 275MB (in both physical and virtual mem together) 180MB in physical only... this is after browsing for a couple days
  15. it's a digital render either not drawn in, or out of sight...
  16. no clutch pedal either did you copy those specs from something without double checking them? lol
