very nice plan9media have you done any tweaks?

i think some of them are cached, but its not there fault, its because the test files are not big enough yet.

the way your thinking of doing it wont work. Someone makes a device that is wireless and will stream all your media from your PC to your TV, that is what your going to have to use. I cant remember who makes it right now but when i get home from work i will look it up.

im not saying they are all garbage just that rca one is, ive never seen a person have a good expereice with a rca cable modem. And yes pertty much any DOCSIS cable modem will work.

the reason its not listed is because they probally just haven't tested it. One you buy would be more reliable if the modem it self if a better modem. For example those RCA modems are grabage doesn't matter if you rent it or buy it. Also if you rent one your porbally going to get a used modem.

of those one the toshiba and the motorola are the best. the difference would be that if you buy one you own it so if you move and have to get a different provider you already have a modem. Also if you rent one and stay with them for a long time you will end up paying for that modem and then some.

I would buy your own you can get a much better modem if you buy it your self. You should probally get a Dlink DCM 202 or a MOTOROLA SB5120

ryan the high hats are a way heat could get into to your room i would look there did you turn off your computer over night like i suggested to see if it would be cooler in your room in the morning?

are you connecting the modem to the computer viz USB or eathernet? iF you are using USB i would use eathernet that way you would not have to so any of this.

yea ive hered of it, it was good, till i found out that it was fake.

there are a few companies that are doing this, it can make a difference but the ISP is still the main factor.
