Go into safe mode, and try to run the anti-virus program you have installed.
-
Simple answer is none. You can install an anti virus program on a USB key, but all anti-virus programs install registry keys, and have active services that are required to run. So if you where to plug it into another computer it would do nothing. Why do you want to run one off a USB key anyway?

By wont work do you mean, when you have a monitor plugged in nothing shows up on the display? Also, make sure the PCI video card is not in the computer when you are trying to get it to work. Most motherboards will turn off the onboard card when a discrete video card is in.

That router is ok. Not the best, a friend of mine had a bunch of problems with his. when it works it works pretty well, but once there is a problem forget about it. You could probably do much better. And the rangemax thing is pretty much a joke.

Don't really have one for summer, but I have been messing around with one in photoshop. I needed a soft background that doesn't clash with anything, but is big, 2560x1600 Not a 100% happy with it yet, but it works so far for what I need.

Well then its coming really soon http://www.dslreports.com/shownews/Sprint-To-Impose-5GB-Monthly-EVDO-Cap-94576

They do make massive money off the public. The $50 bucks a month you spend for internet, they keep about 90% of that, the other 10% goes for network upgrades/maintenance. If you think they actually pay for bandwidth your dead wrong. ISP basically get a free ride with peering relationships. The only people that actually pay for bandwidth are ones running websites.

Firefox 3 Vulnerability...Well that did not take long......

Yea it doesn't make any since, it reads the same bookmark file. The only way it wouldn't would be if you told it not too import any bookmarks. -
well thats hard to do jk

250GB really isn't that much if you start to get into streaming media. Rent a few HD movies on iTunes or from nextflix and that is gone. It should be around 1TB a month. Lets say you have a 10mbps connection, and it has a 300GB a month cap. If you really think about it its not a 10mbps connection, its only about a 1mbps connection. 10mbps can download a maximum of 3300GB a month, a 1mbps connection can download a maximum of 330gb a month. So really it would be a 1mbps that can burst to 10mbps.

I'm no, you need to get worked up over this. Because they are doing it. And its not just cable companies. TWC is doing a 40GB cap in a market. Comcast will be startng caps for testing with a 250GB monthly cap. And now AT&T says they are going to start trials of caped internet service later this year. Sprint and verizon already do it on there wireless service with 5GB caps. Saying they are too lazy to do that is a understatement. They are doing it right now. Comcast has an invisible cap right now, but no one really knows what it is. The only reason they are really doing this is because the top 5% of users, use more then 50% of the network's usage. I personally think you should just kick that top 5% off. Bandwidth is so cheap now in this country its not even funny. I can buy 1TB of tier-1 bandwidth for $100. But TWC is only going to give you 40GB a month on there top plan which is I think $55 a month. The FCC should come in and say no you can't do that. But they aren't going to do anything if people don't speak up.

Yea but it gives me a head ache. I wish MS would force upgrades to 7.

So your an IE6 user, well will you please stop using it Its getting old having to make a web site work in it. Since all the browsers work different you have to make a site 4 times now.
-
What OS are you using. If vista i'm sure there is a gadget for your network that will show you how much you have used since your computer has been on. I just turned mine on, and I didn't think that I had really used this much for the past 9 days. I haven't really downloaded much. EDIT: I did quick search, and it looks like this one would do it, but its not free might want to give the trial a try http://www.softpedia.com/get/Network-Tools/Bandwidth-Tools/Bandwidth-Meter-Pro.shtml

What are you talking, about ford.com works perfect in FF for me.
-
Well they will have to. But if not, IE 8 will spank them all over the place. Even Apple got in on big on the FF2 problems, and the crap IE 7, there market share jumped to around 7% in just a few months. It will be very interesting too see if that drops off some now with FF3 being just as good as safari 3.1
-
I wouldn't be going that far right now. IE 8 scores higher in the acid 3 test then firefox. Which is a truly amazing thing. IE 8 will also be fully standards compliant. If mozilla should have made the browser pass the acid 3 test. Webkit (aka. Safari) is the only browser to score a 100/100 on the acid 3 test. And I find it sad that no one else has made a browser that can pass it.

Any website that doesn't work in FF, doesn't deserve to be on the internet.
-
So now that its official. what do you think about it? Do you like it so far? I'm pretty happy with it so far. Its a 100 times better then FF2, the low memory usage alone makes it totally worth it. They finally got the rendering part down. Things display correctly now with out doing a crap ton of CSS fixes & workarounds. CSS 3 support is really nice, Now I can actually start to use it And I really like the interface. The biggest improvement for is, they finally have universal buttons, no more of those ugly flat gray buttons on web pages. Now I don't have to make my own. Overall I really like it, and its a great improvement over FF2. Flash is still a bit sluggish, wish they would fix that, but not a huge deal.

I'm not just mac user, boy.... I use a bad ass PC every day of the week. and I manage 64 PC's at work.

Look on the sides of the notebook for a really small pin sized hole. There is usually one, and that is for resetting the notebook. If not then they are correct you will have to take it too a service center because they are going to have to take the notebook apart to reset it. IDK how comfortable you are taking a notebook apart, they are not that hard, but if you where to do it you would just need to get too the battery, and pull it to reset it. And i'm not talking about the notebooks main battery.
-
Yea i'm sure that will get ya laid.

Ok your totally wrong again. Vista 32bit will see and use all 4GB of ram. Service pack 1 for vista even has a fix for this, so it will use all 4GB of ram. 32bit can even go upto 8GB of ram if you start using PAE. The limit on some 32bit installs of vista is not because of vista it self, It is because of the chipset. They only work upto 3.12GB of ram. If you bought your system and it came with 32bit windows vista, 4GB of ram, and it is fairly modern, you can just about bet it has a chipset that will use all 4gb of ram in vista 32 bit.

You missed it a little bit. Its a single quad core processor. For that kind of money, it should have 2 physical processors with 4 cores each, for 8 total cores.
-
I personally think its a over priced, ugly computer. The new voodoo one is far better, but probably costs twice as much . My Biggest problem with it is, its not dual processor. for that kind of money you should be getting a dual processor quad code.
