  1. You can try looking here (I couldn't find the model): http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm Also, have you tried using the DMZ for gameplay?
  2. Try this one. Also, be sure to read everything in the Sticky: http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-2097
  3. That looks good, Tomer. Just shy of the cap. What does the speedtest show for your wireless connection?
  4. After you apply the tweak, make sure to disable any software that could be interfering with your test results. This includes firewalls, real-time antivirus protection, popup blockers, browser extensions/toolbars, etc. Also, be sure that you are malware-free: www.ewido.net/en/onlinescan
  5. That's pretty cool. It eventually maxes my memory usage, with only spikes of CPU usage. The other one, No-Leak, just maxes my CPU out without affecting the memory usage. Can you provide the source code for that one, for comparison purposes?
  6. The IP address is 127.0.0.1 For DoS attack, try this from the command prompt: net stop dhcp muhahahahaha <hr> But seriously, this joker don't know what he's messing with. But we are better than to retaliate. It's just some script kid with a new tool and a hard-on. Nothin to worry about, TMN rocks on.
  7. www.ewido.net/en/onlinescan After you're done with Adaware and Spybot, run this scan. It will often pick up more.
  8. I have used this model of ethernet-USB adapter, and from my experience it is great. Since it is a laptop, you may need to be sure that you have IRQs set properly (you don't want 3 devices on the same IRQ# as your USB). I would go with this option before a PCMCIA NIC because these often get hot which reduces functionality.
  9. Here is another set of scans I recommend: http://scan.sygate.com/ Configure your firewall to block all ICMP traffic. Make sure the Internet Zone Security is set to high.

  11. this is the best radio known to man not just for the music but for the people too www dot second shifters dot com <hr> I'm afraid I'm gonna have to remove this thread for advertising I'm joking...that was cool.
  12. Pings and trace look really good. Error code 65 is a firewall (usually one utilizing the True Vector Internet Monitor, such as ZoneAlarm) http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=316414 Often times, just shutting down ZA from the system tray leaves the process running. You then need to end vsmon.exe from the task manager. Better yet, remove it from startup and reboot.
  13. Brownie2k2001, your pings and trace look fine (Level 3 has coordinated the jump overseas nicely). Try testing from on of the mirrors in Europe: http://www.testmy.net/o-mirror-just- http://www.testmy.net/o-mirror-VanBuren Otherwise, since your ICMP traffic is fine, a software conflict may be slowing you down. Use MSCONFIG (run command) to clean up your startup items, and run Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter from System tools. Also, try this online scan: www.ewido.net/en/onlinescan and also try ccleaner (www.ccleaner.com) to clean up what's left on your system.
  14. That looks like a very cool idea, integrating browser and p2p client. Looks like something that could potentially be exploited a great deal, too. I wonder how this will make out.

  17. Alrighty then. But where was the verse about the GNU project?
  18. Try this reverse traceroute: http://network-tools.com/ You may need to disable your firewall for it to go through completely. Post results (edit your IP for privacy) Also, do you know how far you are from the CO?
  19. try setting the duplex mode of your NIC to 10Mbps/half-duplex when connecting directly to the modem. (found under the advanced tab of your NIC properties).
  20. Here's the story, for anyone who is interested: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Patrick
  21. Sorry I didn't get to ya, S7R1D3R. Looks like what you've done has made a nice improvement. Did you use cablenut? http://www.testmy.net/topic-1013 Also, have you tried scanning here: www.ewido.net/en/onlinescan
  22. Can you perform a traceroute? -start > run > type cmd and click ok -type tracert testmy.net and hit enter Post your results.
  23. Try this file. Also, allow ICMP traffic through your router, and perform another tracert.
