  1. @TexasmadeJ those are are very similar to what I'm getting with Spectrum Cincinnati.
  2. I'm on a Spectrum 100 Mbps down load, 10 Mbps upload plan. I replaced my 100 Mbps wired router with a used $57 5th gen Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station (gigabit Ethernet) my speeds improved from 80 Mbps average upload to about 116 Mbps. The first pic shows the before and after plot. The second pic is the latest average. the 3rd pic is one test plot with the old router. 4th pic is one test with plot the new router. TestMy helped me identify the potential limitation of the 100 Mbps wired router (it was trying very hard), and testing here documents the improvement. Great site.
  3. Picking test sizes larger than what the automatic test sizing picks will increase your test time to larger than about 5 sec. During the extra time your larger manually selected test file sizes run, it will be more likely that you'll have periods of congestion.
  4. I see only three results. Perhaps you ran a couple of tests before logging in?
  5. If your test server is 500 miles or less from you, you might call your ISP and ask if there's anything they can do to reduce the huge variation in the download speeds
  6. Where are you and what TestMy test server did you test to?
  7. what's your ISP plan max speeds up and down (according to their marketing)?
  8. Your Xfinity results show huge download speed variation, as does the TestMy results. Naturally the OOKLA test shows the ISP to be fine. It's their tool, and designed to not show problems. If you want to read about why the OOKLA Flash based tests don't give you reality, go to the Extras menu at the top of the page and select Speed Test Legitimacy. Read all the tabs. You should be persistent but polite, but keep calling them.
  9. The TIP summary on top is the most recent test result. The bottom graph is all your test results from multiple tests.
  10. I'd recommend moving your problem from the New Members forum to the Help or General Discussion forum.
  11. @Data_Addict are you testing with a wifi or cable connection? your test data is definitely all over the place
  12. Run some tests here on TestMy to see of you're really getting those speeds. I don't see any test data for you yet.
  13. Who's your ISP? My Time Warner (Spectrum) is consistent without caps.
  14. MarkV. I would push them on the fact that your equipment works fine elsewhere.
  15. Whether they consider themselves a cable company or not is irrelevant. Tell that to them. What is relevant is that they aren't delivering the speeds you are paying for. And yes, they still need electronics and cable to get into your house.
  16. Try escalating the problem there. Tell them you want to speak to a supervisor. Stay polite, even though you're not feeling friendly about it. Be persistent.
  17. I'm not sure what your plan speeds are. I see from your test data that you had a test point around 25 Mbps, and the rest of your points are only about 1/10 of that. That's a sign of a problem. I don't know what they mean by exchange congestion. One of your slow points was at around 5 AM, so there shouldn't have been any congestion. i suggest you keep calling them until they get it corrected. Stay patient, polite, but be persistent.
  18. You should definitely see a difference with a higher speed. The question for you is: Is there anything you're doing now on the 50 Mbps plan that is inadequate? If everything you're doing works well enough, then I'd wait to upgrade - assuming it costs more.

    Hello

    Hello from West Chester, Ohio.
  20. The nearest TestMy server to ou is San Francisco. Being that number of miles gives you a better idea of what your internet speeds really are. If you tested to a server in Seattle, it wouldn't tell you a whole lot about what your internet speeds are. To get an even better test, shooter Multithread and chose two or three of the TestMy servers closest to you, The link is in the upper right section of the Home page
