Did you miss the part where he said "Rev's settings"?

That's a really good speed with the 6000. I don't think I ever broke 1mbps when I had a 6000...even with the Rev's settings. But it can't always be like that, can it?

You probably had a grounding problem. If your system was not grounded properly, there would be a lot of static buil up, causing you to have to power-cycle your modem constantly. It is required that installers ground, but many don't do it.

Every time? Or did it happen everyday or once every two days? When I had the 6000, that used to happen, but a power-cycle/reset would clear it up. Yes, I used to power-cycle daily.

I couldn't get an accurate speed test tonight, but here's my speed while downloading a file from php.net: Pretty good, and it's raining.

I've never noticed a difference in AAC files and MP3 192 files... AAC files are a lot smaller in size, so that's better for ipods and such.

So... When are you going to come back and give us some "inside" answers?

The plastic is not supposed to be cut out of the feedhorn window... The big grey plasitc cove (shroud) doesn't matter. It's just for looks. Amazing, did you argue with him at all? Did he even attempt to do it? It sounds as though he was pretty quick.

Opera always has higher memory usage if there's flash or java running...

I installed it and got it working last night. It doesn't work too bad with Dway. A lot faster than BitTornado.

Mine went up to 54-55 this morning... I have no idea why. The modem also restarted a couple times last night...

I've never run it, and probably never will. The Direcway techs recommend it so they can "monitor" your speeds. I doubt that it's anywhere near as accurate as the one on here...

I used to get 64, but that was with the 6000. I knew a guy who used to get around 75 (the same installer installed his), but I don't know what satellite he was on. And again, he was on the 6000, also.

I'm in the same position. My signal doesn't go over 50 or 51 and it's always around 46 during peak hours. Maybe you should call Direcway and request a free repoint.
