Click on the 1500 one and choose your account type, whether it be consumer, pro, or business.

go to www.cablenut.com and download cablenut then use one of the direcway cablenut tweaks in this: http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;attach=2784
-
Yes, as long as you use a template (or one of the .ccs files we posted).
-
I bet my cablenut tweak would work just as good. I don't think the different modems matter that much.
-
Pro or Consumer? Did you try the Cablenut guide I posted? What browser are you using to test? Firefox tests much slower than IE.
-
I've uploaded the tweaks that I use below. Remember that I might be on a different sattellite, my install might be different than yours, and sometimes different tweaks work for different computers. I use Sat Speed (a utility that you have to have a membership to get from copperhead.cc ) , but it registers the same tweaks as Cablenut would. I've also included an upload patch from the site, I have yet to find out if it helps at all. If you don't have cablenut, you can't do anything with the "cablenut.ccs" file. For a guide on Cablenut tweaking, go here: http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=1013.0 Take a look at this thread if you want to see my speed tests http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=10523.0

What modem and package do you have?
-
Yeah, I was looking for that word... Thanks.
-
Sometimes it wouldn't upload anything and other times it would upload slow and then show a "page cannot be displayed" last night it also said "bad gateway". Oh well, problem is hopefully over now
-
It takes me like 30 seconds to boot up and about 20 seconds to shut down, and I don't even have any virus and spyware stuff to load.

Happy New Year everyone!
-
Hopefully Direcway has a better year than '05...
-
Well, I was supposed to be on the 1250. When I talked to the tech, he told me to type 1250 for the transponder, but I got put on the 1150. Am I assigned to the 1150 or 1250?
-
I have yet to hit the FAP since I've done the 7000 upgrade. 350mb is just perfect for me.
-
You're on the 1250 on AMC3? I should be on that... Hmmm... Maybe I should run through setup again and try to get on the 1250.
-
I can't do that on my XP Pro machine, but I can do the registry tweak.
-
Do you really need upload speed that bad? You download is very good for the 6000, if I remember correctly, all you used to care about was your download speed.
-
I actually have no idea. I thought I saw someone on the 10 rate code that was getting okay speeds.
-
I forgot you were on the 6000, but yeah, I think that's the right one for it. What package do you have? If you had pro, you could get level 2, which is much better than their level 1.
-
It's got to be the sattelite. I don't see why speeds would be slow otherwise. I don't think moisture would affect the speed before the signal. What's your rate code? to check type "http://192.168.0.1/fs/advanced/advanced.html" without the quotes into your broswer and on the first page it should say "rate code" somewhere on there.
-
What are your uploads like?
-
I don't know about that. It's a bitch to get off, and a bitch to get back on. I would leave it off if I was you. I don't know how to clean the moisture out of the plastic cover thing, mine didn't have that problem. I would just take it off, see if you can clean it, and if it's not too much of a problem, put it back on. Yes, make sure unplug your modem. You also might as well try to tighten the dish, there's always a chance that it got moved, it wouldn't hurt.

I would try to hit the FAP if I could upload.... Damn Direcway bastards!
