I couldn't even run the 3mb upload test on here. It timed out. Direcway has been weird today...

What sattelite are you on? What's your signal? Do you have any spyware or viruses that might be slowing you down?

I think I've uploaded a 20 mb file before on the 6000. It took a while, but it didn't time out or anything. When I'm out tonight, I'll try uploading a big file.

I bet they're working on the FAP for upload. That may just be a restriction for the time being.

I've never had to upload 10mb, so I've never ran into that problem.

I use Firefox with Fasterfox, Adblock, NoScript, and Tab Mix Plus.

Peaking your own dish isn't super tough, I just did it not too long ago... And if the dish went out during a storm, I would like to monitor it's signal so I know when it comes back.

I don't know the specifics, but I know it's connected through an ethernet cable.

Blunted started out by saying that you can't fool us with a fake test... It's not like he posted his speed tests first.

If I had to call tech support to check my signal strength, I wouldn't be happy.

You get that because you press the back button to re-test, or you need to clean your internet cache.

I put pam on my dish about 2 days ago; we'll see how it does when it snows.

If 8.4Mbps was possible on Direcway, I would have too much spare time. That would be a nice Christmas gift from Dway, though.

That's a speed burst. For some reason when you took the Smart test, it didn't transfer you to a larger test.

Nice to see another one happy with the 7000. I heard they're coming out with another software version next week, to help with unhappy customer's speeds, lol. I've also heard that they've been giving credit to people who have been having problems. (I get most of my news from the Dway forum on dslreports)

Check my sig, I'm on the AMC3. You might have been on a bad transponder with the 6000, now your on a better one for the 7000. I'm exactly the opposite, I got a better signal with the 6000 and a better successful/failed transmissions ratio. My dish isn't pointed well, but it's still usable and fast.
