My first thought would be there is an unwanted program on your computer that deleted the file. I would suggest scanning for spyware, and or virus. Then install another browser, uninstall IE7 , and then download and install IE 7 again.

I would reset the router to defaults, and reboot both the windows machine and router. Who knows what went wrong.

This router is known to " lose " the password, the older firmware was fine. If you can find it. I would try and power cycle the router, unplug for a minute, then plug back in, and try to log into the configuration page.

If you do not need security from unauthorized users you should be able to connect to modem, shut off dhcp server within the wireless router, at this point the machines with wireless cards should see the router, and your good to go.

You might try and burn the .bin file to a disk first. Or , you can use daemon tools to open it. Depending on what exactly the file is, and what you need to do with it.

That error looks like a new install without mysql support, you probably forgot to copy the mysql.dll to your php directory. No ?

This year ( or so ) I have played Age of Empires 3, call of duty 2 , still playing gothic 3, and oblivion (shivering isles , and knight's of the nine ), crysis (again) , counter strike, quake 4, and I'm on half life 2 right now.

No, the d-link is 192.168.0.1 , and the linksys is 192.168.1.1 , belkin routers are 192.168.2.1 , depending on the firmware on the 2wire, it could be 172.16.1.1 or 172.16.0.1 , the 3com is 192.168.2.1 apple is 10.0.1.1 and the list goes on and on.

Why don't you take him to the nearest apple store, and have him at least play with an apple before doing anything, he already knows what to expect from windows, they'll let you mess around as long as you want with any machine they have there. He would then see if an apple is right for him. My argument would be , you just have to use one, you can't just assume.
