  1. In that case you don't want to format, because then you would be stuck without an operating system.
  2. What version of windows are you running , and do you have a install CD for Windows Also what are you trying to do ? is there a problem with windows now ? Do you want to completly install a new system?
  3. That might be a little confusing to him swimmer... If you do a complete format, at that point there would be nothing on the hard drive that you could use or read all data files everything would be gone. After formatting you would have to reload (install) a new operating system (Windows)
  4. If there is a partition already there you don't have to delete it, you can just format usually. But I usually delete it and rebuild it anyway, just seems cleaner that way to me
  5. Hi Pitbull. If you are going for a complete clean install of XP you might try deleting the partition that you are trying to format, then add that partiton again and do a full NTFS format.
  6. It basically erases everything on your H.D. How you format depends on what system you are going to put on it. And you would only format if you plan on doing a clean install of your OS. You would lose all files on your hard drive unless you back them up to a different H.D. or partition or CD.
  7. I've noticed that the bigger the processor the bigger the cached test it seems. This PC I'm on is a 500Mhz and only Caches at about 30Mbps but my 2,4Ghz. caches at about 60Mbps. So his CPU must be about a 233Mhz. Oh well..
  8. Try uninstalling the drivers first....then reinstall them, restart PC in between, might still have a corrupt driver from previous install. I'm probably more annoying to you .......lol
  9. CACHED....... 05 Aug 2005 Download
  10. This is probably not it, but just for the heck of it can you put a different keyboard on it and try to boot. This happened to me once a while back and it turned out
  11. That's the only reason I mentioned about uncapping earlier....It was like hanging a bone out for the dog..........lol
  12. That's who it reminds me of or his buddy CJ.........If it is .......What a joke That was before I was even registered here, just lurking and I remember the style....or lack of it .........LOL. Oh well I'm done with him.
  13. HMMM.........You remind me of someone that used to come to testmy a while back using a different handle........Let me think.....Well I'll think of it.......LOL
  14. I was trying to find the program and all the notes....I have it on CD somewhere around here. It was TFTPD32 or something like that and I had to use some other decryption program with it on a virgin sb5100 modem, it's quite an ordeal to get it right and I was following some guys instructions on how to do it. The upload was only 1Mbps because he said if you set it too high it will set off all the bells and whistles at Comcast. Plus I had to reset the config file somtimes 3 or 4 times a day, but sometime it would work for a week with no problem.......It was fun while it lasted. But I won't do it again.......Paranoia big destroya.....LOL! Now I have a sb5120 and I don't know if it would even work on that one or not.
  15. I could if I wanted to uncap, I did that about 5 Months ago and was running about 20Mbps but I got paranoid and put it back to Comcast specs.

  18. That seems like some last resort stuff there. If it's doing that good, I wouldn't mess with it man. But i'm sure if you added the xtra Gig. of ram and it turned on the Dual Channel that would not hurt at all. Have fun.......sounds like a nice setup.....
  19. Hi Flashmaster.... They were right that is not a router, it is a switch or hub but not a router.
  20. Hello Chais......... Not sure if this will help or not.... http://www.tweakguides.com/Firefox_8.html
  21. Oh well looks like that's the end of that..... ######## |Notice| ######## I have finally decided to take my BlackViper Mirror site down due to legal, ethical and personal issues. (No, BlackViper has NOT launched a lawsuit against me.) Quote from Copyright Page (Under the Fair User portion): -------- You are not authorized to copy and redistribute my content, including screen shots. -------- I have had no luck in getting any contact with BlackViper (even though I tried). I still don't have his consent in providing (almost) his entire site to the public (of which he may not have approved of). I always had doubt in the legality of my actions, so that is why I've finally decided to make sure I was doing the right thing (in the legal viewpoint). The right thing to do for the Internet community was to keep the mirror up, but that would break some ethics. Also, BlackViper showed considerable annoyance at people leeching his site. You can see his 'Rant' below. I am sincerely sorry for this, and I wish you all the best in tweaking and maintaining your systems.
