I did the All service ports & the common ports test.Complete stealth that's how it tested a while back.I use Outpost firewall.I'm not worried about leaving the IP address on my screen shot since with dial-up it changes every time.But those with the permanant IP should make sure to remove it before posting a screenshot.

I did that test once, it does not work for satelite. It will show all ports open.

And a total failure.

all it does is spam my routers logfile.

and the blurb it sends out if you have figured out how to tell the router to block icmp traffic is nothing but drivel aimed at geeks that need some reassurance that what they are doing is actually useful.

dont know why that is doing that to you, doesnt happen to me or any computer that ive tested it on. this is actually the best firewall test on the internet.

yeah i forgot about that 60day thing. its cool, i needed to test it again.

no this is a secure PC, no responce from nothing. it wont even allow it to finsh the test.

I Dont evebn have a firewal and all my ports are stelth except for 21 and 80 for obious reasons as i run ftp and webservers.

as long as u close all the ports on our router exept for port 80 and 81 you'll b ok

hey would it help if i change my frtp or webserver to listen in on a diffrent port not the stander 21 and 80

my friend has it on 568

That is kind of what I am asking. I have a httpd server and ftp server running on my pc, just because those ports are open is that bad? I mean I have zonealarm pro but some of my ports were open like mail and ftp web server ports. Anyway is that bad I wish they had a test to tell you more then there open because zonealarm will block all unknown thing I think on that port. So it would be cool if they had a test for that like for servers.

i once saw a computer under 5 rouuters cause the guy had so many commps he wanted all of them hock up together

it was a nightmare opening up ports to allow file transfers between them

for the past few years with no problems, I have turned Xp firewall off, as I have been lead to believe it was only a inbound firewall ?, no program or updater has auto permision to access the web without permision, apart from mail and browser
