coolbuster2007 Posted August 1, 2007 CID Share Posted August 1, 2007 did you follow thugster_9904's advise?
thugster_9904 Posted August 1, 2007 CID Share Posted August 1, 2007 @ castoy Try checking all the link speeds in your Canopy Page.. Check all of 'em including the 100 Base T Half and Full Duplex. And also check out my screenie.. that's the link speeds that im talking about.. I haven't figured out yet what causes it but i have a hypothesis, if you are using bookmark to access your canopy, make sure that the URL is 169.254.3.3 or your designated Canopy IP address.. Accessing it in the address bar may be the cause of it so every time you access your canopy page, try typing it, just for accuracy and precision's sake!! Alright? If there's a feedback about this, kindly post here!! Off Topic: Got a Prelim test tomorrow, so I got to review!! haha!! I'll be back!! haha! Peace Out!! Good Day Guys!! fr0stbound Posted August 2, 2007 CID Share Posted August 2, 2007 yes my isp is smartbro. im in the san andres bukid, manila area. i don't fully trust that result since it was taken after midnight, it might be just because it was off peak hours. btw, looks like i should have waited for someone to reply to my question, looks like tcpoptimizer killed my speed. :::.. coolbuster2007 Posted August 2, 2007 CID Share Posted August 2, 2007 There are a few more tricks to eliminate problems of this kind. Two of them are: 1. Do not install QuickFix 2 2. Do not install IPV6 in your lan card properties. This protocol is being promoted by SmartBro techs and as purported by some disgruntled subscribers (oh no not me), that the operators have installed this remotely. thugster_9904 Posted August 2, 2007 CID Share Posted August 2, 2007 In addition to coolbuster's point, make sure that ur Canopy is not configured to reset to factory settings.. check out the screenie...(again). Go to configuration then to Unit Settings(The last tab among them) then make sure the restore to factory settings is disabled. Hope it helped!! Good day! thugster_9904 Posted August 2, 2007 CID Share Posted August 2, 2007 @ castoy post if there's any problem with that troubleshooting tips so we can further analyze what's the problem, but right now, just monitor it and see if it keeps on reseting. coolbuster2007 Posted August 2, 2007 CID Share Posted August 2, 2007 for me, i would not mind whether its 100Mbps or 10Mbps. SmartBro isn't even giving its subcribers 10% of the lan card speed.

Yes I agree, just forget about it... It wont do you people any good if you keep worrying about the lan speed.. Having 100mbps/10mbps on your lan card wond affect your speed in any way.
