Down & Up Combined Score

Recommended Posts

Got a TWC Signature Home plan upgrade a week ago. Two DVR boxes plus a 3rd player - can watch recorded programs of either DVR on any of the 3 boxes. Came with 50 Mbps down and 3 Mbps up (old service was 15/1). Came with bundled phone service. New total bill for cable/internet/phone is only $10 more per month when Cincinnati Bell phone bill is eliminated. 1 day avg is in my signature below. so far pretty good. Speeds are generally 2-2.5x (down) and 3-3.5x (up) over what they were. Still quite a bit of variation during download tests to Dallas server; less variation on Washington server.

On my IPhone 5 wifi, 100/10 Mbps fiber, dern phones is hard to tweak

I never even try to tweak my iPhone... here's the best I've seen.

On my new iPhone5s Model A1533

Here's a result on the same connection a couple weeks earlier with my iPhone5 Model A1429

Must be the Netgear Nighthawk that's boosting the performance because before I got that I was pretty much maxing out at around 30 Mbps.  Here's some discussion on the Netgear Nighthawk.  But seriously, even 20 Mbps in your palm.  You can't complain.    That would have made my brain melt 15 years ago.

yea 15 years ago, this would be nuts! haha, awesome speed Damon!! I run a D-link DIR-855, next time i upgrade i will consider the Netgear :) I ran a tracert to the german mirror and it looks like a clean route 51 ms latency so it should be faster even tho i dont complain
