From my experience they will do a re-point at no cost after you log enough hours on the phone, but the freebie will not include moving the location to get line of sight. My site was already on a solid pole mount which I did myself.....refused to do it again so, ended up getting moved to a different frequency. Big improvement for me. My place only to sats clear were Horizons-1 and Satmex5.

Thats why its obvious to me WB is better.......better consistent speeds both directions with less hassle for less money. Seems to me the toast speed site shows way different speeds on each server selected...every body has a favorite ? I compare the test here to fileburst the transfer rates are real close to this site right here. myDway test are more accurate now than before. Since they made changes here I do see inaccurate results especially on the first test run? :::.. seems to me Hughes should fix what they have........ history does repeat itself. I'm sure it will go on to DW 9000 etc... Nothing wrong with improvements, but can you imagine paying for monthly windows updates, how long would microsoft be around?

Geesh.....sounds like you fellows need your dish tweaked or something, I seldom loose connection unless its a real downpour of rain. Snow only drops my signal a few points...have seen several bad storms.

again......in my opinion the pro account will not do anything for the download speed, it will increase the uploads using a 7000 as well as the FAP bucket to 350.

with that package the guy was talking about you would get up to 1.5down (thats the plan Mr clean) is posting 1400 down with ....up to 300up. This plan cost you $99/month

I have seen more than one post on here from consumer accounts getting over 1000 down as I did myself for a year on the consumer account. For downloads to go up your looking at small office or higher on Dway. -- static is an extra 20 bucks unless you have business account, even Small office adds 20 for static IP

Well since I have got switched to 1390 from the 1270 also inroute group,rate code,site ID, and account changed. This took all but four hours with engineer, while he was speaking with "deep support". The guy also explained the evening slow downs were due to the gateways, as you mentioned some time ago, which they are working on the issue. He would not say how long it would be for that to fixed. I still get slow speeds but have not seen any 150/35's yet since the switch. :::.. Originally when I first signed one year ago I was DW6000 consumer account....then this year Dec 2005 I upgraded to the DW7000 as well as my plan to pro. But as I mentioned earlier my 6000 on the consumer account was pretty much 1000down 24/7 uploads were anywhere from 0-130 that was my main gripe with the 6000.

couple days late php....I sold one on ebay last week for $40 plus shipping, would have sent it to you for shipping cost, complete gateway system minus the monitor. Just needed cleaned up, been stored for two years. It still worked too.

Not sure why they don't cap the home accounts as advertised, but to me thats also another fault on their part. Those that pay more should be getting faster speeds, but I have had both plans (pro and consumer) and the only difference is upload speed and FAP bucket. The business plans deliver faster speeds for more money, equipment as well as monthly fees, and believe a 24month deal.

Do not recommend it heres why..... 1- download speed will not increase only upload if your lucky 2- pings are still 700-1200 3- its a gimmick to compete with Wildblue as well as for you to sign contract 15months if you still decide to do it ..... buy the 7000 outright with no contract obligation, then if you don't like it sell it on ebay. --made the upgrade Dec 1, 2005 wish I had give Wildblue a whirl. WB will be launching another sat in the late spring. -- I use this DW7000 all hours of the day every day ....not impressed at all. So if your looking for faster speeds you need the Small Office Plan or higher !

I dropped Mcafee went to AVG picked up around 100kbps on a sat connection.

When I had the 6000 only problems I had were slow uploads.....download connection speeds were 1000 pretty much 24/7 on the same bird. My problems started Dec 1, 2005 with the upgrade to the DW7000 and upgrade to the pro account........have nothing good to say about the upgrade, Dway, or Hughes Network, absolutely nothing! I have had an account with them for over a year. The truth is now shinning bright as the sun, the lies, tricks, scams, word games are all point blank.

Have you guys filed a complaint with the BBB and FCC yet? IT may not solve anything but will make some waves......Dway tells me that nobody else has these problems, I told them thats great maybe discrimination should be added to the suit.
