  2. what did u try to do ?
  3. the way you uninstall your drivers is like so: Right click my computer - properties - hardware tab - click on device manager - display adapters - then it should say the name of your video card x300 - right click that - click uninstall - restart computer - go to ati.com - click the DRIVERS & SOFTWARE link - navigate through (most likely to windows xp) - and most likely you will have to download the Catalyst 5.13 Windows XP - Driver Download...once installed the drivers just restart - you should be up to date with your drivers then
  4. comming up with questions is probably the hardest thing heheh
  5. ill help what do u need help with ?
  6. I like that idea
  7. http://pcclub.com/systems_configurator.cfm?type=Notebook&bomid=ENP61104 I personally like enpower notebooks - check it out
  8. ..... frozencpu.com is teh shit when it comes to system cooling
  9. just to let you something know - true, opty is good for o/c, but just as good as a 3700+ 64bit processor if done properly - one thing you should know that, you would be much better off getting a very good heatsink/fan combo than going for a water cooling system - its pretty ridiculous to see that 300-400 dollar water cooling systems produce temps that are same and in some cases even worse than stock heatsinks ..... ;( - in many cases you are better off with simply having good airflow in your case and a good heatsink - it is different if you have money and you wanna invest like 500-600 dollars and go into something called thermoelectric cooling - which is pretty much a step above water cooling - it will give you temps of about 0 to -10C....ive had my run with water cooling, and unless you're looking to spend massive money for a decent system, its not worth it....stick with air cooling, or if you have money step it up to thermoelectric
  10. the easiest thing is to google for it
  11. If you wanted to have like a 1TB of storage, wouldnt you rather go with 4 x 250gb - raid 0 is pretty much always performing better if more hard drives are available
  12. Thats useless LOL - u can achieve the right amount of useful performance with only a 3000+ processor slighly o/c to like 2.2 and 1 gig of ram
  13. the external powersupply idea is very bad...that would make me not wanna buy it
  14. if you're going for um sata raid 0 - there is no slave/master - the hard drive that is bigger usually acts as the master hard drive (or should i say, the 1st hard drive) - so by putting two hard drives in raid 0 it will act as one hard drive - and if you add the 3d ATA hard drive, you have to designate it as master (assuming it is the only drive on that ide channel)
  15. i like the concept - but ill wait few months for the price to go down
  16. I can build you one, but I can't give you one for free LOL - but yeah, alianware has always been little on the expensive side - even if its a year old article, their prices are still way jacked up - just like dells ! LOL
  17. Naturally, all this tweaking has its price: the default configuration of the Area-51 ALX, with 3.8GHz, 1GB dual-channel DDR2 533MHz memory, Nvidia GeForce 6800 Ultra graphics card, 148GB WD Raptor HDDs in RAID 0 configuration, Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS audio card and Windows XP Professional, costs US$5458. I can build that system for under 2000 dollars LOL
  18. oh yeah...this is an old thread - i did it once with my radeon9000pro - lets see how this vid card stacks up
  19. getting extremely high performance ram and other hardware that can "virtually" access/process data at some incredible speeds is usually meaningless - thats cuz each processor has some number of data it can process in the given amount of time, and getting ram that performs at lets say 1000MHz *lolz* will not give you a performance jump if you were using ram that performs at lets say 400MHz *just an example
  20. i definitely like this LOL
  21. yeah....i had a radeon 9000pro previously ... the 64mb version
  22. amd isnt performing at its best unless its overclocked
