I agree, it should be a sticky..... -
http://speedtest2.eastlink.ca/ Try the 100mb test...You will probably notice it starts fast, and levels off towards the end of the download, if it is the boost that is affecting the results... The speakeasy tests are not really that accurate for faster lines, IMO...I think the TMN tests are a better indicator of true download speed, as opposed to your peak speed that you hit.

At least I know it's not just me..

First thing I always do... I think it's a problem with x64 XP/IE7, but I need someone else with IE7 and x64 XP to try a dual test...

What's a modem? I have forgotten such things.... -
Best score so far running a network bridge... Actually used the fios optimizer tool provided by Fios, and it seems to have worked pretty well..

Well, I'm not sure when this started, because I haven't really tested my speed much lately.... But, they came out with new nic drivers, so I wanted to see if they are any better... The dual test completes, but I get this error, when it says "forwarding to results page" I am using IE7, with x64 XP, but I am testing under the 32bit IE... Edit: I get same error with the 64bit IE as well...

Did you uninstall IE7 by any chance? ( I mean prior to this happening)
-
Just wondering...Did you install IE7 on this computer? Or does it just have IE6? Does the error have you click ok? If it does, try to hit ctrl+alt+del before you hit ok, and see if task manager opens.

That was piss your pants funny! -
I wonder if it works for x64 IE7
-
You can also try this- (if you have xp) Goto start/run and type in: sfc /scannow You will need your windows installation disk. It will check your system files and correct/replace as needed. Just make sure you run an update after you do this.

Thank you, because by the time I finish reading those freakin numbers, I want to rip someone's head off

Your not running x64 are you? I'm wondering if it's just an x64 thing.. I uninstalled/reinstalled, and now it works...

Happy Halloween from Jason's Mom..

Already found a problem with it... For some reason, it won't connect to the media @ giants.com... I can watch it with 10, but 11 just says "connecting to media", and never does connect... Can someone with 11 test to see if this works for them... http://giants.com/player/?file_300=http%3A%2F%2Fplay%2Erbn%2Ecom%2Fplay%2Easx%3Furl%3Dnfl%2Fnfl%2Fopen%2Fgiants%2Fwmdemand%2F06%5F1031%5Fotma%2Ewmv%26proto%3Dmms%3Fmswmext%3D%2Easx

So far I like it It hung on me the first time I opened it, but I think that was winpatrol waiting for confirmation on some things..

I need help with the verizon FiOS service
Voltageman replied to farithitru31's topic in Verizon FIOS
http://www2.verizon.net/help/fios_settings/optimizer/ That is the optimizer tool for Fios from verizon..It actually seems to work pretty well, at least for me.. -
Yes, that is how mine is... I have 2-200 gigs running in raid 0, I split it in 2 partitions, and put x64 XP on one partition, and x64 Vista on the other..No problems (oh except that I can't get drivers to work for my promise raid controller with x64, so I'm down 2 hd's)

Awesome Idea Would need an R channel though(for Shug) Edit: Though I can see possible problems with it, I still like it..
-
I don't watch too many movies, but I have used http://www.movielink.com to rent, then download and watch on my pc when I get the urge to watch something..
-
I would go with the formatting the partition... I never used Daemon tools, so I'm not sure what that does I'm about to take it off my pc as well...I can't get sound with 64 bit RC2...No drivers for my X-Fi Platinum... I'll delete my partition, and see what happens.. If you upgraded to it..... Format c:

I write "Check ID" on all my Credit Cards, and I think maybe 1/50 times they actually check my ID. Most times they never even turn the card over to look at the back. -
did you guys fix something?got speed back
Voltageman replied to northstar518's topic in General Discussion
More likely, the node you are on was experiencing low traffic when you took the test... Try testing @ peak times, then re-test at off-peak times...Remember when you are on cable, you are sharing the bandwidth... Busy node=Slow speeds -
All you OC'ers out there...hows about some tips....

The know exactly what you mean...I bought my stuff when prices were very high...Let's just put it this way...I could buy an FX-60 Dual core for what I paid for my chip back then, and still have money left over for a motherboard.
