    Error

Ryan, if you haven't already, also swap out the HD cable with a new one...I had a very similar problem a few years ago. I would get random blue screens, and sometimes the pc wouldn't boot up, or would give me weird errors about my HD. Eventually it started to just reboot itself constantly....I would just unplug/replug the HD's, and everytime, the pc worked for like a week...Finally I realized that the HD cable was bad. I swapped out the old cable, and the pc never had a problem again. Cables are cheap, and it's always good to have a spare one around anyway.
  2. I would be weary of a used BMW. While they are great cars, they are extremely expensive to repair as Doomsday said. There are companies here that for $100 will come with you to look at the vehicle, and perform simple tests on it(cylinder compression tests..etc) to help determine it's condition. Most owners won't mind, unless they are trying to hide something. Look at the pedals for abnormal wear...People that drive the car hard tend to have unevenly worn brake/clutch pedals. Make sure you look at the oil/transmission dipstick, and see what color the oil/fluid is...If it's black, walk away...A lot of people for some reason don't think the automatic transmission fluid needs to be changed...I changed mine at 25K, and it was black already(I do drive on beach so it stresses it a bit). If you have $7,000, you could put that down on a new car, and have minimal payments, that would probably be cheaper than the repair costs on the BMW, and will last longer. Say for example the transmission blows on the BMW...That's going to be a few grand...Now say you have $10,000 invested in a car that you can sell for maybe $7,000...If you have a new car, and the tranny blows, Mr. Warranty will save your ass. In my opinion, I would only buy that car if you have at least $3,000 in reserve for possible repairs. Just remember used cars are a like flipping a coin...

  4. Some of the comments left for that video that I thought were pretty funny "If at first you don't succeed, fall, fall again." "God Bless the dumb asses of the world! And this guy is incredibly blessed!"
  5. Motorola SB51XX's are good, I would call your ISP, and see which modems you can and can't use. I tend to agree with ghostmaster. Your speeds/results are most likely being adversely affected by AOL. Just close AOL(also ctrl+alt+del and close all AOL processes you can find), and open Internet Explorer, and test through that.
  6. At least you know if he falls on his head , it won't hurt
  7. Also, I found that if you install a new firewall, it will also lock up IE7...I had to manually create a rule for it... I'm not sure if this is just an x64 thing or not. I like that you can have multiple homepages open at once
  8. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1800607&CatId=41 That's the stuff I use...Works great..
  9. Dunno, I've changed mine like 5x in the last week, and it has worked each time.... Not sure what's going on holmes.. I think it because you used an OOL avatar, and the avatar gods are very angry at you..
  10. They now support x64 XP too...I just installed the trial version. If all goes well, I'll probably buy it in 29 days....
  11. http://www.free-codecs.com/Real_Alternative_download.htm <---- Will play rm files, and for me is the only thing that works with x64 (real player won't install on x64) I like it better than real player anyway.
  12. I haven't had any yet..BF2, all the expansions, BF2142, Flatout 2, and GTR 2 are all installed, along with 64bit Edition of Far Cry, which looks crazy in 64bit...Soooo much more detail. No, Thank You
  13. 30/5 It wont be on the pricing page, it was an offer from them. It depends whether or not you have a competitor in the area that can match the 30...We have OOL which says they can ....
  14. Not here it isn't I think its either $49 or $55, I can never remember.... I have to dig out the bill and see which one it is.. It's not even close to $180 here, and we have the phone over the fiber as well..
  15. I've only had to call them once, so I don't really have enough calls to base my opinion of their customer service. But, the one that I did call was extremely courteous, to a degree that OOL techs could never reach. I suppose if I had to call more often, I would run into a bad one, but so far the installers, the immediate support for setting it up, and the 1 call I had to make because of a bad firmware upgrade, have all been good ones. I haven't had to make one call about poor service or an outage(almost a year) 30/5 we asked for, and that is what we get 24/7
  16. They probably are not as nice as I think, but compared to OOL's techs, they kiss my ass. I probably just got so used to being treated like a piece of s#%t by OOL. Edit: I am also not sure if the techs for Fios are the same ones for the other Verizon services...Perhaps the Fios techs are not the same...
  17. And if you still don't get full speeds(or at least 90% ), I would give them a call. Their reps are very nice..I have only had to call them once because my router freaked out when updating my firmware, but they were extremely courteous, and unlike my old Cable provider, they don't treat you like a moron....They may just need to make a minor adjustment at their end.
  18. Is it possible for you to take the router out, and test without it? I had a bad router that would do that...It would work fine most of the time, but would lock up during longer downloads.. If you can, test your internet without the router, and see if there is a difference.
  19. I had a problem when I first installed it. Not sure why.. I reinstalled it, and it now works flawlessly ...Streams videos much smoother than 10...
  20. Just people acting like tools, and starting drama, but that can be moderated... I like the idea..
  21. IMO...In my opinion...I guess you could add honest, but to me that implies that you would normally lie..
  22. I had an sb5100, and it was definitely faster than my 4100, and didn't crash nearly as much..(back in the old days when I had cable )
