  6. My girlfriend got me a bad ass watch. http://www.seikousa.com/pop-up/ska366.html Tungsten Carbide and gold & kinetic -- I've been eyeing this watch for like 10 years, lol. Taking it in today to get ghost armor put on the face. so.... WOOT!
  7. So wierd because I have the same CPU and I haven't put a AC cooler on this yet and my temp runs at about 34*C-42*C (OEM heatsink and fan) but I also have it in a Zalman GS1000 case, lots of airspace and a killer layout for cooling. I'm sure you already looked into dust being the issue but if you haven't you should look into that, sometimes dust will cake onto the fins or fan and insulate it from doing it's job properly. I would have put a better cooler on this already but the OEM is doing a great job for me, plus I plan on getting an i7 soon as I can so I don't want to put money into something I'll be getting rid of anyways. -D
  8. Oh, and make sure that you use silver or ceramic thermal compound on whatever new CPU cooler you get. It does make a difference in the heat transfer from the CPU to the cooler. --- Make sure that you also clean off the old shit well. Here's a link to Arctic Silver 5 on newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835100007 They also compound remover http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835100010 (I personally have never used that stuff though, I just either wipe it off or in the case of that baked on OEM bullshit I scrape it off with a plastic razorblade.)
  9. That one is good... but I know from first hand experience with more than one computer that the ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro is the shiiiiit. With some setups I've used it on the CPU has run as cool as 1-3* above ambient temperature. This thing is so efficient that one one computer I used it on I ran it without the fan and the CPU didn't break 98*F idle and like 110*F under load. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186134 It's pretty sweet. And it has Fluid Dynamic bearings so it's silent... AC makes some of the most quiet fans around. And personally I like my computer to shut up and let me do the talkin'. -D
  10. Hopefully I have some new mirrors up real soon, I want to re-script that portion of the site that's why they've been gone for so long. -D

  18. This should be fixed now, I've been doing updates all morning.
  19. Is anyone playing with Windows 7? I HIGHLY reccommend trying it out. It's a RC but I've been playing with it for about a week and have had NO problems. It runs like a dream. It's like what Vista should have been Although I have a powerful system (A Phenom II X3 with 8GB RAM and a Radeon HD4870 with 1GB GDDR5) it seems like Windows 7 prioritizes it's tasks more efficiently. One thing that I can reccommend doing to speed things up a little more is to set the Affinity on your anti-virus and some other processes to specific cores to leave processing power available to applications that you're using (this of course only works with multi-core systems) But god damn, CHEERS to MS... this is the most stable RC that I've ever tried. It looks stunning as well. And I'm really diggin' some of the new ideas they've implemented. Very cool. Give me your thoughts.. If you'd like to try out the Release Candidate for Windows 7 Microsoft will be open for anyone who wants to give it a whirl through this month I believe... go to >> http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/download.aspx
  20. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! WOOT!

  22. Sorry about that. There was something wrong with mySQL. I've fixed the error. I was also updating a couple security holes, I'm all finished right now though. Thank you for the error report - D

  24. Aggr3's birthday thread turned into a colonoscopy / prostate exam thread, DOH!
