I just chose the 29mb upload test , check what i got.... Heres the 23mb test , completely inaccurate because of my forwarding issue were having with the upload tests, but heres the completed version anyhow

It has something to do with a windows update. My moms and grandmothers PC do the same thing with testmy's speed test. Neither one of them use any kind of software on their computers. They check their email and turn them off. No additional / weird software like on mine. Its some windows 7 update doing it.

As the topic says, got upgraded to 35/35 ; I would LOVE to show you some testmy.net results but once again im havng a problem with testmy's testing engine.... The download is fine, but the upload doesn't work. It uploads at full speed, but than just STOPS when the upload amount finishes and takes 7 - 10 seconds to get to the results page .. which kills my upload results. This time i really do not feel like formatting my drive again. So here we go

As the title says, I'm looking for a laptop. Noticing more and more how much im needing one for my needs. Dont realistically need anything super fancy, because all it will be used for is remote connection so the stats do not have to be fantastic. Bah i still think an " average score" should be based on more than 4 or 5 tests. Thats what im trying to get at . & nifty feature BTW.

3 - 5 tests enable people to rank based on 1 days good scores. A true average has to be taken from more than 3 tests lol.. If people want to "rank" than they need to have a stable , consistent high score, not just 1 days worth when their testing or uncapping lol..... Same goes for people who are having issues with their connection, they will undoubtedly NOT rank if they have a bad day.

Flash tests are inaccurate. Just measures burst , and takes the last seconds' score. Raw data is the only way to test.

You sure? Cause theres currently people on the " Fastest Members" 3 or 4 tests who are ranking high. I think it should be an average of 50 - 100 tests. Thats a true average. If you have 3 tests that were taking @ non peak times ; That are very good , your immediately at the top of the list.
