But like "sirdir", the creator of this thread... with Verizon fios, i TOO have to multithread to get my maximum speeds. and no, i'm not talking about the results that it gives me at the end i pretty colors and visuals. I do know how to accurately monitor & measure my speeds on a real-time basis. When i am downloading a 1.3 GB file , and i see that it ended at "9.62 Mbit/s" i know that is what 'im downloading at. Their is no amount of overhead or "burst" that is going to last over a gig's worth of download time. tesmy.net's system as well as various NDT servers give me terrible , awful results. - correction, well now that D implemented the multithreading i can NOW max out my connection. But as the thread starter said, multithread is the only way i can achieve my max connection potential. Also proven in DC++. Maybe not so much a "problem", but the ISP's intentions for some ungodly-irritating reason?

I like the multithread alos, i know Verizon is bandwidth shaping- I use dc++ to share files. i usualy am part of 10 or more hubs at a time with 40 upload slots available. If a user is getting a file from me its usually between 200 and 900 kbs. if that user happens to be in , lets say 6 other hubs that im ALSO in, they will have access to 6 of my slots. in which they now have 6 uploads coming from me at 200 -900 kbs each slot. Verizon will not allow me to max my upload to 1 user unless in multiple streams.

Sup guys. been a while since i posted some results - so i think im gunna! This is Verizon FIOS 75/35 in Sarasota Florida - on the new Gigabit Actiontech 802.11 wireless"N" w/ "Performance Mode". - On a side note, normally i would never post competators speed test results, but i have come to notice that verizon, although give incredible speeds, will throttle certin types of data unless being pulled by multiple streams. The first pic i post wll explain what i mean. 2 differet speedtests, comming from the same host - one with a single stream , one with multiple pull streams. For this reason i will be posting an array of results from different locations across the country to give a fair and unbiased result stack.

It only happens randomly. I tested on this particular server 10 times and maybe 4 of them were in the 41mb/s range, the others looked like the one i posted.I only brought it up as a suggestion to look into , but if its easier to blame my routing than im good with that. Must have been bad routing to this one server out of the 12 servers or so i also tested to confirm. Thanks for the generic answer and i mean no disrespect to you ca3le, but ive done this for a while and wouldnt bring it up just for shiggles and gitts. Address it as you will. Cheers!
