run the windows error checking on the drive, AVG is not going to be able to tell you if you have errors on your drive. Open up my computer right click on the drive and click properties, under tools click check now, check both check boxes in the window that pops up, restart and it will start to check.

call dell and say the mobo is bad and when they say were there going to ship it just tell them not there ship it to my house I'm repairing for the hospital.

you can do it both ways, but the less of them the better your speed will be, becuase each filter on your line add about 500-800 feet of distance.

yea its a way to figure out the RWIN, you mulptly your bandwidth by your Ping time and if get your RWIN.

you dont need alot of equiptmnet with DSL, your thinking that you need a phone line filter on every line in the house you dont, you just need one on the modem, You can have as many connections as you want on the DSL.

you cant be reading something right, your not getting 2.8mb/s on upload, thats about 23mbps.

If i remember correctly it uses AFD parameters to get the RWIN. But i could be wrong.

that makes more sense they would not cap it below what the advertised is.

sean5900xt i can tell your not capped at 3.7 why because you will always get lower then your cap, your modem is probally capped at 4mbps, and 3.7 is a acceptable rate for a 4mbps connection.

If he is directly conecting it to the computer through USB then he just has to install the drivers for the modem again.

that would explain the down time.

set it to 9500kbps i dont know why i thought 20000kbps. and set the MTU to 1492.
