  7. could be a setting in the group policy. -click start, run -type: gpedit.msc and click ok -under the local computer policy heading, expand user configuration -expand administrative templates -expand network -select network connections -locate the setting called prohibit access to the new connection wizard and configure accordingly (ie. disable)

  10. Can you access gpedit.msc from run in 2003? If so, you may be able to tinker around in there.

  12. You can try resetting the TCP/IP stack: WinXP? -Click start --> run, type: cmd, click ok -type: netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt, hit enter -close the window and restart PC. I would also suggest checking for spyware and viruses.

  21. If you are directly connected to the modem with slow speeds, you can try to reset your TCP/IP. For WIN XP: -click start -click run -type: cmd -click ok -type: netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt -hit enter and wait for it to finish (it will bring up another command line) -restart your PC You can also restore your IE 6: -open Internet Explorer, click Tools, click Internet Options -under the General tab:
