Try clearing your browser cache: -click tools, internet options -click delete cookies, click ok -click delete files, check 'delete all offline content' and click ok -click clear history Microsoft's spyware program doesn't pick up all pests. Try running THIS online scan. It usually takes about 5-10 mins, and is very thorough. Let us know if there are any files found.

That's good news. Firmware would be only for the router. You can look into making sure that you have the latest firmware download from the router manufacturer's site. Good to hear your speeds are up!

I would suggest checking out THIS topic. Try a direct connection to your modem, and if it works, then hook up your router (and powercycle). Let me know how that works for you. -
Ok, so basically you want to make sure you have the most up-to-date firmware installed on the modem, and drivers for the adapter. You can get them from the website. Then shut everything down, bring em up and try again.

It is likely that when you've specified the IP address, windows is also looking for a specified DNS server. Go to control panel --> network connections --> right-click your connection, choose properties --> select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), click properties --> adjust your DNS and IP info here. If you cannot specify an IP address and still obtain DNS automatically, you may need to specify a DNS, or simply obtain both automatically. -
B. It means somebody was targetting you, usually. ppl scan your ports to see which ones you have open so that they may probe and possibly attack you if you are vulnerable. If you have a firewall, they'll usually pass you by, so i wouldn't worry too much. port scanning is bad news though, if you get it anymore, i would contact your ISP to let them know. I don't think it's legal, or at least it is frowned upon. Have you made any enemies on the Internet?? lol. The general consensus seems to be: good free firewalls: ZoneAlarm, Sygate, Outpost good free antivirus: AVG, avast Each serves the same purpose though, its boils down to preference.

RR doesn't block ports. It's most likely something on your PC. -
I have used this in the past. You can just google search for anonymous proxy.
