CA3LE Posted March 30, 2008 Author CID Share Posted March 30, 2008 Okay, finally I got all the data transfered over to the new server. I've changed my DNS over to the new server so slowly everyone should start getting forwarded over to the new server. The IP address of the new server is 74.54.226.166 So if you want to see if you're on the new server you can go to the home page at http://www.testmy.net/ and if you see a message in red at the top of the page that will show that you're now on the new and improved server! You can also go to your command prompt (start, run, cmd or in vista start, then type 'cmd' in the search box at the bottom of the start menu) then type "ping testmy.net" -- it will show you the ip address that you have for testmy.net, if it shows as 74.54.226.166 then that means your DNS has updated to the new server. If it shows as anything else then you'll need to give it some time before DNS has propagated for your ISP. It can take up to 72 hours.... but these days that's VERY rare. Usually takes no more than a couple of hours... if it takes longer that means that you have some crappy, old school ISP... like "Jim Bob's Discount Satellite" (some dude who started a satellite ISP by hacking into an existing orbiting satellite... or he launched his own satellite by strapping 100,000 class D model rocket engines to a homemade satellite which consists of nothing more than a battery, an 802.11b router and a small solar panel... bah ha ha ha ha, that would be funny if that would actually work, huh. lol. Anyways, you all should be seeing the new server VERY soon... that is of course if you're not already seeing it Let me know what you guys think of the new server, and please let me know of any bugs you notice - Damon

CA3LE Posted March 31, 2008 Author CID Share Posted March 31, 2008 The speeds are good and I can do every download test size but I can't do any size upload test above the 6 mb test I'll be working on this bug either this evening or tomorrow. I'll make a thread in general discussion and a note will be added to the change log on the front page once I've fixed the bug. Thanks for letting me know -Damon
