I think your thinking of the term like applying it to Betty Grable. She would be a 40's Betty.I still think the one applied today is taken from Betty Ruble of the Flintstones.
-
Thanks Van Buren Two different protocols the packet sending rules are different ..The NDT test only tests TCP packets. So it doesn't tell you how it would do with UDP packets.I think I got it.

tdawnaz &cak46 ; The term Betty or Betties comes from Betty Rubble of the Flintstones.I think the term was first used in the movie Encino Man.

Another question today Van Buren Does that apply for dial-up? I am putting in the results if a NDT test.I beleive all dial-up is considered low bandwidth isn't it. In the test is shows no packet loss but the RTT seem large to me.Tell me what you think.I know this test is not to accurate but it gives results on packet loss & it would be above my "cap" if you can call what dialup has a cap. Van Buren & any other member. My ISP blocks ping & trace route.I can use a tool for doing trace route at the following site www.network-tools.net These are the results what can you tell me from them they are the best I can get.On hop 9 the latency really increases. My IP address changes everytime I logon to my ISP so it won't help once I disconnect. What Anti-Virus Program are you running now? (Extreme Poll)
cholla replied to organ_shifter's topic in General Discussion
organ_shifter: I did the Kaspersky online web scan it found 0 viruses or anything else.So my AVG must be doing as well as Kaspersky would otherwise it should have found something AVG was missing. The only other one I have is Stinger it is for some specific viruses.& CWShredder.AVG is number 28.For me it seems to be working fine. -

cholla replied to organ_shifter's topic in General Discussion
I decided to go to the Kaspersky site .Instead of a trial version I decided on the Kaspersky Anti-Virus Web Scanner Beta version 5.0.50.0 It is an online scan that works kind of like the Trendmicro scan.It was kind of slow but it didn't find any viruses in my PC.So I guess what I am using is keeping the viruses out.I just though Kaspersky might find one AVG didn't since it is supposed to be better. In my case it didn't find any which is great. Heres a link for the scan for those that are interested. http://www.kaspersky.com/beta?product=161744315 -

AVG Free 7.0.323 & Stinger by McAffee &CWShredder since the last 2 aren't on the list .I tried Kaspersky but it didn't work well in my PC. -
KroniKIII glad you fixed it .basically like power cycling the modem but you power cycled the router too.

The ones in the link seem to use an electric element to heat the "herbs" to a vaporization point .Probably better at keeping the temperature below ignition point of the "herb" so it never actually combusts which would be the same as smoking.I still think if they could steam extract it cool the vapor then inhale it would be even cleaner.Interesting that this is not considered paraphernalia Like a bong which is illegal in my state. I edited this a little Cholla

Shug7272 : I ha d heard the Marinol was effective for pain & nausea I didn't mean to suggest it wasn't.I had heard something about the vaporization but I really don't know how it works.Maybe you could tell us.I would guess it kind of a distilling process where steam removes compounds from the marijuana then it is cooled & inhaled.

Can you increase my download speeds Van Buren ???
cholla replied to hanifv's topic in Make it Faster...
hanifv: That should work aparently you have window scaling enabled. With your connection I doubt if it will ever exceed the unscaled RWIN which is 64240 .It would only use the next scale if you received a page larger than 64240.The only thing I would do is try a larger test at testmy.net like the medium test.If you are going to use TCPIP optimizer you might try deleting the Cablenut settings by leaving all the Cablenut settings blank & saving to registry then reboot & test. That should eliminate conflict with TCPIP optimizer if there is any.If this causes a slowdown put the cablenut settings back in. -
Shug7272: Isn't Marinol synthetic THC does it contain all of the other compounds in canibis sativa. There are probably some that do some good that haven't been studied. These are probably not in Marinol correct me if I'm wrong.
-
Thats a good reminder & if you didn't disable System Restore & the virus was hiding there it will show back up.

cholla replied to hanifv's topic in Make it Faster...
hanifv : try the speedguide TCPIP analyzer test again I don't think it will show that as your RWIN.& sometimes TCPIP optimiser & Cablenut conflict. So try the test & see. -
billybob12345 :Glad it worked you will know for sure after a couple of reboots sometimes the virus is sneaky & can put itself back in.If it doesn't show back up then you killed it.

joeandjan518:When you are in reply L.click Additional Options... below the reply window.Select browse & browse to the location of the screenshot .jpg select it you should see its location in the small window beside browse. Then hit post That should work for that or any .jpg picture.

I do a screen shot with my Cablenut adjuster on the screen.

Can you increase my download speeds Van Buren ???
cholla replied to hanifv's topic in Make it Faster...
hanifv: I would leave the 8760 in GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize : 8760 &TCPWindowSize: 8760 & put 8760 in Default Receive Window (RWIN).Save to registry with Cablenut & reboot.Test it again. I personally like a larger RWIN I would also try this setting & see which one worked the best for you. Put 64240 in a 3 settings in Cablenut save & reboot. Edit Van Buren said to leave the Default Receive Window blank so try it both ways with & without a setting. The speed test will tell you which works best. -

This is the test on my OS notice the difference in the Default Receive Window (RWIN). TCP options string = 020405b40103030101010402 MTU = 1500 MTU is fully optimized for broadband.
