I believe if you go to control panel, power options, and then if it says energy star there thats the reason its doing that, just set it to always on, or home/desktop. Thats what i had to do.

Thanks voltageman that will help alot of people im sure. I do not have dual core so i will go ahead and follow those instructions except for one processor. I have to set it up on my other comp, i can run it 24/7

The previous post with instructions on how to do this is gone it seems, maybe from when tmn got hacked. If someone would provide instructions it would be greatly appreciated.

Im not too sure how skype works because i have never used the im feature. I guess the new aim can somewhat be compared to msn if you have ever heard of that?

OH MY GOD. i just tryed the new aim 6.0 and its amazing!!! they now offer a feature where you can have your own phone number associated with your aim screen name and when someone calls you can answer through aim and talk with a headset or mic. It also has a drag and drop photo transfer feature and is compattible with all other aims from what i can see. *unlike triton* this is the FIRST time aim has impressed me. Good job!!! http://www.aim.com/get_aim/win/latest_win.adp?aolp=0 theres where you can download it. The autoupgrade feature isnt available at the moment so its a manual download. Definately worth it.
