  2. Maybe they bumped you up on earlier flights so they could close shop earlier. I have a big pile of cut brush out back I'm burning this weekend so if any of you want your bras burned just send them, it may look like the 4th of July then.
  3. Lag is not a problem with satellite but a fact.Sending a ping twice around the earth would be close to the lag of satellite and the distance involved so the shortest lag is a straight line as always. What happens is this is combined with other factors, poor aiming may be #1 but one must not forget internet traffic that nobody has control over. From one second to the next, different congestion every time, many factors apply to lag and speed variations.

  5. The next question is do you know how to find the signal running a PX500 card and the Linksys WRG54G3G-ST router. Latest testing; There seems to be a problem in the uploading throughput in the router card setup but I do get better uploads (at about 260 kB/sec) on my 2 other machines running XP Pro. This machine is Win2000 and worked well on satellite. Here is the same PC just test at Sprint.com; order=0 src="http://www.dslreports.com/im/33443815/6120.png"></a>
  6. Your right tommie, and I double dog dare you to show or explain to me how.
  7. Sprint is $59.99/month, I have only satellite or EVDO at my location. My ping times are way lower than satellite.
  8. Having fun again adjusting network and location of Sprint card as I did with satellite. :::.. 9. I wish all who has a birthday this month a happy one and I thank all who wished a happy birthday, mine is July and I'm really not a baby anymore but I guess I am in TMN time.
  10. Can you remember when and where???
  11. Not everyone Roco, I'm not for a fact. The reason English sounds different in the US is that many don't have the time or don't take it to practice all the steps you've mentioned to speak English-English. I know my family years back only learned what they needed for communication only to find that there were more meanings to the words that they didn't have a clue about. But if one masters it as you mention all that needs to be done then is fly over and take the piss test as they're implementing here? After reading your explanation and how to pronounce I'm beginning to think that Woco for Roco may be misspelled a little. (wako)

  14. First read this http://www.dslreports.com/faq/satellite it may help. As far as I know there are no settings for Vista. The first is to check your settings in the modem by hooking direct and with your browser go to 192.168.0.1 and look under system, don't post your site or account numbers. In this area also check your send and receive stats for errors and post along with your signal. I don't understand why you modem and router are outside by the dish. Give an explanation of your network. The dish has coax from the LNB and Transmitter back into the house (direct burial if on a pole) going through a ground block just inside then to the modem. Grounding procedures are a must.
  15. I would not worry but just keep asking questions and trying to understand. Just remember some people will pick up on what you are saying and others will not . Some have known English all their lives and still don't understand it when you talk to them. All are not English but many are English speaking, and then it sounds different in areas across the US.
