cholla Posted May 7, 2006 CID Share Posted May 7, 2006 that was the last time I saw onetoo... wait that was also the first time.. haha This probably dates me but my grandmother had an electric washing machine that had an electric wringer..The old thing (the washer)didn't have a spin cycle so she had to put clothes through the wringer.I barely remember it because before I was very old she got an automatic much like the modern ones we have now.Except the older automatics didn't have all the circuit boards the ones have now. Roco Posted May 8, 2006 CID Share Posted May 8, 2006 Hi CA3BLE, oh man, I am double sorry, for the derailment, but we made a sticky, at least TOMMIE .G and me have apologized , cant say the same rest of the motley crew, Please don't make my banner a toaster, I would be happy to be a Microwave though, Guys, please pay attention and vote banner or stars or both, P.s just wish I had not mentioned the bloody Mangle/wringer , hey Tdawnaz I think in the UK a wringer was powered by electrickery, a black art in my house as a kid ,

cholla Posted May 8, 2006 CID Share Posted May 8, 2006 Heres some Frank Zappa lyrics to go with the pancakes mentioned earlier. Yes indeed, here we are! At Saint Alfonzo's Pancake Breakfast Where I stole the mar-juh-reen An' widdled on the Bingo Cards in lieu of the latrine I saw a handsome parish lady Make her entrance like a queen Why she was totally chenille And her old man was a Marine As she abused a sausage pattie And said why don't you treat me mean? (Hurt me, hurt me, hurt me, oooooh!) At Saint Alfonzo's Pancake Breakfast (Hah! Good God! Get off the bus!) Where I stole the mar-juh-reen . . . Saint Alfonzo Saint Alfonzo Saint Alfonzo Saint Alfonzo Ooo-ooo-WAH .
Roco Posted May 8, 2006 CID Share Posted May 8, 2006 Oh jeez, Cholla my buddy not you 2, I feel honor bound to resign. but that was rather good I must say. BWTF has that got to do with mangles/ wringers/ Banners ust hope you voted man, or I will never post about cars again . well not for a week at least P,s. petrol nearly $8 00 a gallon in UK, but our galon is bigger than yours, nah. nah nah,
cholla Posted May 8, 2006 CID Share Posted May 8, 2006 Roco .Some of the members were posting about pancakes & breakfast. So I thought that would add some humor to the topic. I voted way back at the start of the topic. Gas has gotten too high.I bet you really enjoy your small engined car. But it has nothing to do with mangles/ wringers/ Banners.Did you read my post about my grandmothers old washing machine?
Roco Posted May 8, 2006 CID Share Posted May 8, 2006 Hey my good buddy Cholla, I was only Kidding, sorry if my Brit humour is misunderstood.,I just love talking about cars, although we have allways had different types in the UK( smaller) , still remember seeing the American cars in action at Santa pod UK, back on the 70 's., hey, I am older than you by far, yes I read your post LOL, but was it powered by Electrickery ?, LOL I didn't reply coz I am a bit of a newbie, and didn't want to upset CA3BLE, as I semed to have caused the derailment of the the banner topic . Best Regards Roco UK
resopalrabotnick Posted May 9, 2006 CID Share Posted May 9, 2006 i for one don't mind a derailed thread. and if the thread doesn't turn on its side when it gets derailed i hit the throttle and take it away from the tracks and even off the beaten path if possible. Roco Posted May 9, 2006 CID Share Posted May 9, 2006 Thanks Reso , me., being a bitr of a newbie , and also from the UK, I kinda worry about these things, love the term "derailed" being a ex steam engineer.
resopalrabotnick Posted May 9, 2006 CID Share Posted May 9, 2006 being an ex steam engineer i thought would make you hate the term derailed. good thing i never rode on one of your trains then...
