Blunted : Have you tried 64240 as the setting for these ( GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize and TcpWindowSize ).I think thats about the max you can use based on MSS below 65335.I believe 65335 is where scaling kicks in so you have to stay below this unless you use 128480 to get the same result with a scale 2 & keep doubling for futher scaling.Anyway not suggesting your settings aren't working I was just curious.

My freshman year of school my hair in back had to be above a regular collar shirt & taper cut to register .I tried 3 times to get by with a blocked cut & couldn't.(A blocked cut was a strait across cut still above the collar but not tapered)So pretty strict by todays standards.that would have been 1967..Girls still couldn't wear pants to school that wasn't too bad some short minis during that time.It loosened up some by 1971

billybob12345:I will give my opinion A lot of school boards have some pretty sorry rules.Unless you can afford a lawyer you are stuck with their interpretation.So in the school district you are talking about that may be the rule. Let it be the star quarterback on either side of the situation & you will see the rules applied differently. Now to discuss law instead of school board policies.In general words should never provoke a fight & your only legal way is to respond back with words.Whoever throws the first punch is usually guilty of assault.There are exceptions like if you have reasonable expectation the other person is going to punch you.If they have made a verbal threat to hit you for example or the already have their fist drawn back then you can throw the first punch & it is still self defense.But you better have witnesses. There have been some court decisions that certain racial slurs are enough to provoke assault.I don't agree with this.It opens up a defense to respond to any word a person doesn't like.Because why should one person be allowed to attack when a word offends him & another not be allowed to decide another word offends him just as much.These decisions are bad law & will eventually be over ruled.

I do use the Kaspersky Anti-Virus Web Scanner Beta version 5.0.50.0 http://www.kaspersky.com/beta?product=161744315 When I use this online scan it has never found a virus in my PC so unless this Kaspersky online scanner doesn't find the viruses its other antivirus that you have in your os does then the AVG is finding & stopping the viruses that try to get into my system.It might not at questionable sites. I web surf where ever I have need to & will deal with viruses if I get them.So for now I will keep using AVG.

DL the MS patch in Swimmers link & follow the other instructions.If it is still detected then try running your AV in safe mode always a good idea when you have a virus that's hard to remove.While there it's also a good idea to run your anti spyware program.

I have AVG & haven't had any virus it couldn't handle .I did have 2 that it had to remove from safe mode.I also ocassionally check mt PC with the Kaspersky online scanner it has never found a virus so for me AVG is working.But that doesn't mean it does for everyone.

I don't like Camembert , Brie ,Limburger I think they stink.I like most other cheese & I'm not lactose intolerent . I think Elite.Pete should just stick around.I think the one that made the trouble has already left or registered under a different name.

netmasta : I understand getting the BIOS form the manufacturer of the PC or mobo.I put that in as a alternative to the $70. one you found at the official site. I agree with resopalrabotnick unless you know the new BIOS will do something the old one doesn't & you need your PC to do that it would be best to just use the older one.

If you are close enough there is some DSL that is less that aol dial up .But if your uncle is going to use dial up try the tweaks.
