I bought a desk called the wave studio from officemax about 4 years ago.. I will have to get the name of the company who makes it... I love it..
-
yeah I would call and ask for a manager.. do you still have the paper work from the visit? I would refer to the installer and let them know what happened.

you could do either one of your options.. you can get a $300 off ebay.. IBM 1ghz machine.. which is a good deal. That should be able to connect to a tv.. as long as there is an svideo out... then you can get a converter from radioshack and change it into a RCA connection. Put the wireless keyboard and mouse and you can use your tv.. The output isnt going to be like a normal monitor.. It is going to be hard to read print on websites.. but from file browsing and playing music via media player or winamp should be fine.

I need help with Vpn or setting up a Remote desktop
Swimmer replied to CraZy VaMoS222's topic in General Discussion
with logmein it is software controlled.. so as long as the pc is up and the client is installed and functional it should be ready to go.. If you want to continue using the dial-up method there is no really great way to do it.. unless you can find an ISP that offers static IPs on dial-up.. which now since everyone has pretty much moved to broadband might be as easy as calling your ISP and asking. From there you would want to assign your "server" as static IP on the network... and forward the nessary ports to that LAN IP. -
my guess is that it is just another name for QoS.. Something that controlles the software that can run while you are play a game..
-
It is your upload speed.. depending on what else you computer is doing and the lag on the node call all affect vonage. not only that but some, not all, ISPs are QoSing their networks to make it so that vonage doenst work all that well.. most of the time it is the same companies that offer phone service. Some things to try.. if you are using a router try setting up QoS on you LAN.. make Vonage traffic the highest priority.. And http lower than that.. Also while you are on the phone try an minimize the web surfing.. that should help the call quality..

this is more for network gaming than anything else.. it doesnt matter if you have a gigabit LAN and a dsl line that lags like no other.. that card will not help you..

alright that is tricky.. dial up is a pain.. you might want to try logmein.com.. it doesnt require you to know the IP address of the remote computer.. which will help you with dial-up.. The great part about logmein.com is that it is all web based.. so you can get onto the computer from any computer that has java installed. Which is just about every single one these days.. -
The site should be live tonight.. Just need to get my laptop from my truck.. which is at the deal right now 10pm EST.. I will post a link..

Cable is not a equal access technology.. their backbone is theirs.. However, backbones can be shared with other ISP.. but you are talking about 45-100MBps fiber...

welcome to the forum dduteil I never looked at what was on that cd.. my guess is that it was entended to be used on an ethernet connection as changing setting require the wifi and router to reboot. The web gui is how I have always done the setup of my equipment.
-
I would get a PCI card... the usb dongles dont provide as good of connection, in my experiences, as the PCI based devices..
-
so maybe he adjusted a bypass filter?
-
yeah switch plans.. I didnt think speed caps were set at the box.. i thought it was software onto the modem.. maybe different for dsl..
-
You could.. but to get it you would have to have a second connection, wire, from your cable box to your house.. Then on top of that you would have to have a second account. Still interested.. yes you could load balance the network giving you 12mbps (theoretical) throughput (2x 6mbps per wan).. That wouldnt mean that you have 12mbps to each computer.. That would be half.. Or you could spend about $1000 and have a router that agergates the bandwidth into a super pipe.. that would be 12mbps to the computer.. Worth the cost? nope..
