I was wondering if anyone else here uses Azureus as their bittorrent client.

you should really avoid using the default ports (6881 range). I remember seeing somewhere that a lot of torrent sites are banning that port b/c of legal issues and whatnot. Also, i've heard of some ISP's blocking 6881 b/c they know its for torrent. Change your port to something 50000+ in azureus, and configure your router for those ports, then see if you get that error.

harddrives and ram from desktops are not interchangable with those of laptops. the one exception to this are those small thin desktops that use laptop disk drives and harddrives and whatnot, but for the ram, i think they still use desktop ram. If im not mistaken, desktops use ram thats labelled with DIMM and laptops have SO-DIMM. Also, the laptop that your describing seems pretty old, and for some reason, RAM prices are really high for old ram (i have a really old comp that uses SDRAM(no ddr or anything) and for a 512mb stick it costs like 80 bucks...i just got a 1gb ddr2 stick for my laptop for 90...what gives?)

you can use a program called Partition Magic to create partitions or change sizes of existing partitions

I think that the reason for google doing this is to stop bots or porno sites or something of the sort to make tons of email accounts, or simply to stop people from just creating emails accounts over and over and then never using them again. You may have noticed that now google is allowing people to sign up with cell phones. Again, its harder to sign up with a cell phone, so automated thingies cant just sign up for accounts randomly (at least...i dont think they could?) I think what they're doing is justified because its not such an inconvenience that its to the point of being annoying(at least, not to me) $0.02

hijack this is good, but if u dont know what ur doing...then u can really screw yourself over. also...another solution that works for sure is reformatting

limewire's awesome, i have limewire pro, but i used to have the regular one. theres not much difference between the two, only difference that i notice is that pro doesnt ask you if you wanna go pro every time u open it. and that 'turbo charged' thing...yea...doesnt really seem any different from regular speeds. only reason i got pro...is b/c i got it for free (i have my sources...), and because i just like having "Pro" versions for some reason, even if i dont use the "Pro" features lol oh, also, i dont really use it for anything but music. everything else...bittorrent's the way to go

i say get dual core; sacrificing a measly 400mhz for dual core is WELL worth it

I was looking to buy an iPod mini and was waiting for them to drop in prices (for the 6gb one, which is msrp 250) Now, they apparently phased out the mini's and the nanos just suck...only 4gb max but same price for the 4gb as it was for the mini's 6gb color screen? who needs a color screen on a freakin mp3 player Hopefully, iPod mini's drop in price at local retailers (best buy, fry's, etc)...if not, then it seems that I will have to go with Creative's Zen Micro (6gb)

The Dell CD will work, but you will have to call Microsoft for a product key. Just tell them you reformatted your computer after upgrading it and it is asking for a CD Key now, and if they ask u "have u installed it on any other computer" just tell them no.
