  1. This is the best low cost solution... for here the technology just sky rockets.. It is a netgear product that will allow you to have a back up.. http://www.netgear.com/Products/VPNandSSL/WiredVPNFirewallRouters/FVS124G.aspx If you are looking for a product that does bandwidth combination between the two connection you are looking into the $500+ realm of business class routers.
  2. I would say on this forum.. for pure speed would be the dlink gaming router.. DGL-4300 http://games.dlink.com/products/?pid=370 For just normal uses it would most likely be the Linksys WRT54g series...
  3. wow.. that is insane.. what this a planned burn?
  4. this sums it all up from the article.

    laptop troubles

I have seen these errors before on my dell.. It happens on shutdown if I forget to disconnect the vpn client. I looked up the error name and it looks like it might be related to the USB sub system... I dont know of any other way other than to do a full format of the system and go from there.. I wouldnt do anything from the recovery console if you are not familiar with it.. Just try reinstalling the OS using a full format on the partition that you are going to install on.. If that doesnt work then you might want to download the Ultimate Boot cd and run some of the hard drive utilities to check for hard drive issues.
  6. Those are some nice machines.. any reason to upgrade now?
  7. It will but it will cost more than the rest of the hardware to do.. maybe 2 or 3 time more..
  8. I would be careful.. that is a prescott you are shoving into a 1u box.. not the best idea ever for a colo.. Also ditch the ata hard drives and use the SCSI ones.. Hit up ebay for some 36GB ones and use the on board raid. I mean you have 4 hot swap SCSI trays.. so why not use them? You might want to check these guys out.. http://www.cidesign.com/product_detail.jsp?productID=19 This is the case that I got on ebay for $75... They are a third party oem builder.. but if you can find their stuff it is worth it.. Another newegg option that i like even better.. it has sata II hotswap.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16856152019R
  9. Yeah i havent been following the motherboard arena lately.. damn there is nothing new.. Even the DFI series is lacking on newegg.. I would normally recommend DFI.. but there is nothing to really recommend at this time..
  10. it is using the downtime to do a real time scan my guess would be.. you can disable it in the control panel of AVG.. however, I would leave it on because it prevents a lot of the zero day attacks if you are not on your computer but your computer is on.. assuming that updates are run..
  11. the user name is root password is password.. check the readme file that comes with the firmware.. it is in there..

    ISA SERVER

The configuration file for ISA should be all of the rule therefore I would think that it would be platform independent.. however, seen as you assign rules to NIC cards.. I am then not sure.. I havent worked with ISA at all.. I have used RAS on server 2003 to handle remote connections... Even at that it should allow you to atleast open the file.. Have you tried backing up the file on the administrator account or are you using a created user account? hmm.. odd.

    ISA SERVER

and you are trying this on the box administrator account.. not a user account that you set up?

    CDRW disks

I could be a bad batch.. I have never had a bad set of memorex media.. but it is possible... However, are you able to burn media fine with other media?

    ISA SERVER

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/isa/2004/plan/exportimportsettings.mspx read that.. you should set the backup password at the time the backup is created.. http://www.internetaccessmonitor.com/eng/support/docs/isaserver/CMT_H_ImportConfg.php read that for the import of the file.
  16. yeah I had some issues also upgrading.. it took 2 flashes.. but it is now up and running..
  17. I would go with either the linksys version.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16825120101 or the simple sb5100 from motorola..
  18. that is a need little app.. DD-WRT has a program called RFlow that does pretty much the same stuff if you decide to go with DD-WRT instead of hyperware.
  19. haha.. yeah that is pretty funny.. the even better part is FF 2.0 is being downloaded a lot faster and a lot more often than the new IE 7.. I am sure this will change once it is added into the Windows Updates program..
  20. $399.00 with 2 year contract.. I think it is the 700wx = windows and 700p is the palm version I have wanted to get a smart phone but the plan that they require are just outrageous.. A standard phone plan then on top of that a data plan. Damn Ca3le.. that is a nice little toy you have there..
  21. I one from about 6 or 7 years ago.. I am going to have to go and look..
  22. might and might not.. you have a socket 478 motherboard.. which means that you are limited to CPUs that used 478 and are supported by that motherboard. The max for that motherboard seems to be a 1.8ghz P4
  23. snow acts as an insulator.. so i am guessing that it would have a dampening effect on the signal.. Kinda like satellite.. but then again it may not also.
  24. I would look at sony.. the bough aiwa a while back.. I have one of their bookshelf systems with about 300watts of power and love it! They now have systems with dedicated subs so you can really hear all of the sound..
  25. try this link.. http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=14&PFid=23&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false Those are the manufacture drivers so it should install the hardware again regardless of the manufacture.
