Is Sudden Link a cable provider... where are you at. Nice speeds.

Yes they are, but I only use their internet. They actually have a package called MAX107 which is 107MB download. I only have a 50MB connection, but hey it is sweet. I am in Kingwood, Texas.

Damn, 107Mbps... I wish Cox offered that :-P

Yes, they came out with it earlier this year. They said they would not offer both packages in the same market. I don't "need" it, but really wanted the 107 package. I can't complain at all looking at so many of the testes on this site. Maybe I should move.. hahahah

"193% of your hosts average! What? Do you think you're cooler than me now? "

LOL,how cool is a synch of 6338Kb down 738Kb up ? :tickedoff:

I have a low cost ADSL connection in the UK ,been with the same ISP for the past 8 years , "Pipe x" the UK originator of Broadband ,

never had a problem , apart from the time some thieving

bars** d stole 1/2 mile of copper phone line ,

the average home user gets around 2Mbps .

although Fibre is a option for some with 40 Mbps

but it comes at a cost ,

within 5 years we have been promised FTTC , fibre to the cabinet ( I ain't holding my breath on that )

BTW, the test result is over 3000 miles, it's night time UK , the sun has set ( no UV shield ),my SNR is falling fast, maybe time to reboot the router ,and take the speed hit ?

just posting in case any Adsl UK member drops in,

and to say thanks to TMN forum , I didn't get 193% faster than my hosts average on my own ,

Just to add to my last post , I just been informed by a Tame BT engineer , ( cup of tea and a cookie on a cold day works wonders )

I will have Fibre to the cabinet (FTTC ) mid Jan 2011 , 4 years earlier than estimated ,

around 40 Mbps down 10 up , it will sure beat my 6 x 1 I have at the moment , I might fit a seat belt to my computer chair :grin2:
