If you search the forums at http://www.dslreports.com/forum/sat there are a couple of threads that deal with this exact problem. (Setting up remote cameras) They did get it to work. You need to manually input your IP address at the dyndns.org site. (1 higher than the DW7000 address) That was the only I was ever able to get it to work right. When their site autodetects your IP, it detects the DW7000's IP address, NOT the IP address that you want to route. The DW7000 automatically forwards all ports to the static IP address that you pay for.

Your transmitter probably isn't grounded properly. Go to http://www.dslreports.com/forum/sat They have lots of FAQs there about this stuff.

Hughes.net/Direcway Upload Speeds.
ghostmaster replied to tommie gorman's topic in HughesNet (DIRECWAY)
If the upgrade options are still the same, you can upgrade for 49.95 with a contract, or about 200 without the contract. It definately helps with stability, uploads, and ping times. Downloads are about the same, except for during peak hours, and that depends upon what sat your put on..... My uploads are usually around 200K, but I havn't been testing lately... -

How long has this been happening? There has been a lot of bad weather at the NOC the past few days due to the low pressure system on the east coast. There have been a lot of problems caused by that.

OK Do you have a DW7000? If so, the DW7000 modem will not assign the static IP to the device you have connected to it. You will have to manually assign the IP to the device. Browse to http://192.168.0.1/ and click on system info. The static IP that you assign to the device will be one higher than the IP of the DW7000. For more information go here: http://www.dslreports.com/faq/13545 It gives detailed instructions on the issue....

Be Happy.... The only power boost you get with HughesNet(direcway) comes if the dish gets hit by lightning....

So nobody is interested in Hockey anymore??? I just got into it..... Maybe if they'd take it off of OLN and put in on a more popular network, people would watch it more.....

20 Things You Won't Like About Windows Vista
ghostmaster replied to ROM-DOS's topic in General Discussion
I just downloaded the disks and installed it lol....Im running it on my new laptop.... I always had trouble installing Suse 10.0, as it would hang a lot unless I used the network install. The 10.1 is a pretty good distro. The wireless works quite well now that they have Knetwork Manager. Before, the stupid NDIS wrappers wouldn't work for my broadcom chipset.. Im not a linux fanboy, but I do enjoy flirting with it every now and then.... Mepis is also a very good distro.... -

Wonder why it doesn't have an HDMI connector. Other than that, it looks pretty sweet to me! I love my smaller but suitable 20 inch Toshiba 20HL85 TheaterWide

The new Dell home editions usually don't come with driver CD's, rather they come with a recovery partition. It's not unusual to do that. HP is another one that does that stuff......
