Ryan314 Posted November 30, 2006 CID Share Posted November 30, 2006 The previous post with instructions on how to do this is gone it seems, maybe from when tmn got hacked. If someone would provide instructions it would be greatly appreciated.
Voltageman Posted November 30, 2006 CID Share Posted November 30, 2006 Do you have a dual core? Easiest way I have found to run 2 or more on same machine. Make 2 folders, Fah1 and Fah2. Place both folders in your Programs folder. http://www.stanford.edu/group/pandegroup/release/FAH504-Console.exe Download this to each folder. Create a shortcut to the desktop for each console(one shortcut for the Fah1 console and one for Fah2 console) Right click on shortcuts, and goto properties. Make sure the Target is modified so it looks like this: "C:Program FilesFah1FAH504-Console.exe" -local Basically just add the -local part. Do this to each shortcut. Now run one at a time, and follow the instructions. Make sure you give each one a different machine ID. I made one 8 and the other 1. I also run the full program at the same time as well, and it seems to run all 3 without a problem. Team number is 44352

Voltageman Posted December 2, 2006 CID Share Posted December 2, 2006 17,896 out of 20,000 on one unit(full install main console)...I have to go away tonight, so it looks like I will have to wait till monday to finish that one.. 8869800 of 50000000 Steps on Console 1 2419018 of 50000000 Steps on Console 2 Are steps on the console like frames on the main graphical display one? Water cooling seems to be working pretty well too...Had 3 F@H consoles running full tilt, with both processors @ 100% contantly for over 12 hours, and the processors never got above 40c. RTB Posted December 2, 2006 CID Share Posted December 2, 2006 Are steps on the console like frames on the main graphical display one? IIRC, yes. That's overkill 40c isn't bad, but it really depends on your ambient. I'm running an aircooled x2 3800+ @ 2.7 Ghz and 1.5v, and it's currently 42c with 2 folding consoles. So I'm guessing you're using passive water cooling.

Thanks in advance! I feel 'useful' already

RTB Posted January 19, 2007 CID Share Posted January 19, 2007 It's odd, I'm only running at 400 points per week. That should be at least 500.

dn0 Posted February 22, 2007 CID Share Posted February 22, 2007 I just noticed that the team broke 100 members (101) and we are close to cracking 300th place out of 47626. Not bad considering we were the 44,352nd team to enter, I guess that means that we have overtaken 44,049 teams so far. Yeah, eat our dust, losers!!!
